This is really cool. I never liked the default CA arms being little shoulder pads.
Hypothetical: Is it possible to get a version of the Heavy Leather armor that's just the shoulder parts, so no elbow guard or bracers? Is it an easy edit to do, and if so, could someone who's never 3d model'd do it in blender?
It's probably a bit tricky if you've never worked in a modeling program before, but there's tutorials. I failed numerous times while doing this, and when I figured out how to do it, it was quite simple.
That said, I have dabbled a bit in 3d modeling before but it was my first time using 3ds Max so maybe if you're persistent enough you can figure it out too, with blender that is, I have not worked in blender at all.
Could you do a version of the heavy arms that removes the pauldrons? (i have always hated the heavys pauldrons they are sooo big) maybe a shrink for the heavy legs too ?
That's actually quite easy since what you want then is the sturdy version for the heavy one, since they're alike except the pauldrons. You can do this pretty easily yourself, in about 2-3 mins.
1. Download this tool and unpack it: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/78/?
2. Open "Data\Fallout4 - Meshes.ba2" with said tool.
3. Go to "Meshes\Armor\CombatArmor".
4. Extract: "F_Arm_Mid_L.nif" , "F_Arm_R.nif" , "M_Arm_Mid_L.nif" , "M_Arm_Mid_R.nif" -> They should already be in the right file structure after extraction.
5. Rename them "F_Arm_Heavy_L.nif" , "F_Arm_Heavy_R.nif" , "M_Arm_Heavy_L.nif" , "M_Arm_Heavy_R.nif"
Would like to see the vanilla combined with this one, you could make a juggernaut version when combined, like higher DT or something. But all an' all, good job
I had to change/add a first-person model to the armor since the original doesn't have one. And regarding the two archive files, I like it better when things are neat and tidy, reason there's two is that one is containing general files " - Main" and the other a texture "- Textures". Would have preferred one archive but for some reason the game will only load textures from a dedicated archive.
Actually haven't uploaded it to bethesda.net, I'm hoping to avoid all requests for a console version as long as a can

Also, for console peeps there are so many issues with mod conflicts that I feel like it ends up being a waste of time.
