    Sticky
The new 1.5.307.0.1 patch resets the nvdebris.txt to it's original version. I've compared it side by side and it's exactly the same as the old version.
Anyone who updates his game needs to redownload the mod and replace the file again.

nice job, thank you. Since it has to be downloaded to the main directory you should probably get rid of the "download with manager" button, which AFAIK only puts stuff in the DATA folder. This way you won't be bothered by people who don't read the description.

He should absolutely not do that. I use NMM to keep track of updates in addition to installing. Those who don't read the install instructions get what they deserve.

I never download with manager. But I still use NMM to check for updates. You don't need to download the mod with NMM to do that.

I read the description, it doesn't say nmm puts it in the wrong spot, so he should either remove the button or make it clear nmm puts it in the wrong spot

Taking a look again at nvdebris.txt I've noticed that there are some materials that can generate debris but are unassigned. These materials are cloth, bone, egg, goo, paper, plastic and tire.

I have found meshes that can suit the bone material (and maybe the egg too but they already explode in particles), but none for the others.
If anyone want any bone material to have some bone debris you can add this lines in the nvdebris.txt file:

    DT_BONE, Meshes\SetDressing\Skeletons\SkullFragments02.nif, 0.15, 0.35, 125.0, 125.0, 0.5
    DT_BONE, Meshes\SetDressing\Skeletons\SkullFragments05.nif, 0.20, 0.35, 125.0, 125.0, 0.25

Someone needs to make debris meshes for cloth, goo, paper, plastic and tire ASAP! , man Look at the possibilities of cloth shreds when shot, good piles being messed up or splash when shot or exploded, paper bits like arkham city new papers, plastic, and tire pieces. NEED NEED NEED.

I tried adding some dust FX meshes to cloth, with the idea of simulating the feathers seen in movies when they shoot a pillow, but the game crashed inmediately.

For tires, the skull fragments with the tire texture could work. But as far as I know if you shoot a tire it simply puts a hole in it without flying debris.

There may be some meshes in the game files that can fit those materials, but there are tons of meshes and it's quite time consuming browsing all of them.

Should this improve performance at all?

I don't think so, the default particles are just some meshes scaled down, what I did is scale them down even more.

Oh what's that? I do believe I hear a console begging for mercy whilst attempting to run debris effects...oh my...at 5 fps? All is fine now console, be released now unto the great motherboard and be judged.

Just having some fun...I do pity console players though, as they don't get awesome effects like this.

That's a really great ini tip. Thanks! I have reduced wood/metal/glass by 25% and will try concrete/dirt set to -35%. Such small textures looked so bad on such large objects like pieces of concrete.
