hi, after install then mod still need very close range to hack the robot (try on sentry bot at Robotics disposal ground), hope you can make this mod greater, thank you
But now i can also hack them in combat and before i could not? why? before i had to sneak, now i can just stop ever robot coming my way like neo stopping bullets and literaly every robot in the game can do shit.
I'm posting this here because I am unsure if it is a bug or not. When I attempt to hack a robot when aiming with a scoped weapon, it just zooms out and then zooms back in again, without starting up the hacking on the pipboy. Apart from that, I love this mod to bits!
I've noticed that too, pretty sure it's a Bethesda bug. Maybe the reason they made RE a contact thing?
But as you sort of implied, the problem doesn't seem to carry over to non-scoped weapons. Any regular "sights" have worked fine for me. My personal favorite that I switch to when hacking is the 10mm with Reflex Dot.
This was a thing with the original bug that let you ranged hack. It's finicky, but you can hack through a scope. I recommend just using the scope to find your target, then switch to an unscoped weapon to hack.
Thanks so much, now i don't have to spend like 3 perks into sneak to be able to hack a robot. Its small mods like this that al together make fallout epic
So, not sure if this was caused by this mod or by beth doing something but since i downloaded this mod i can somehow hack synths, was that part of this or did i miss a patch note from beth?
