"I really like the design of the Trapper armor, but hate the orange/teal/yellow color scheme. What hunter would wear a clown costume in the woods? "
Good question. But the vanilla color combination isn't random. It shows corrosion of iron and copper/brass due to the environment of Far Harbor - which is wet, wet, wet. The swamps, seas and rainy climate and conditions they thrive in and live around has massively corroded their protective gear to become rusty with the appropriate orange/brown and actually teal colors.
Iron will form reddish flakes when it rusts. The chemical equation is: iron + water + oxygen equals rust. For symbols, it is 4 Fe + 6 H2O + 3 O2 forms 4 Fe(0H) 3 which is rust. And copper reacting with oxygen will produce copper oxide. Copper hydroxide will also naturally form eventually, the teal colour.
Your mod, which is very nicely done, doesn't make sense and is less immersive. The Trappers do not possess the technology, tools or sanity to maintain their equipment reflected by your retexture.
I don't need you to explain what rust is, thanks. If you don't want to use the mod, then don't. I really don't care about your reasoning or your "immersion" and this is not what the comment section is for anyway.
Does this also replace the texture of the Trapper Leathers? I was disappointed to see they were identical to the Raider Leathers, which just further limits the visual diversity of under-armors in Fallout 4. Or would that be impossible, with the Trapper Leathers and Raider Leathers having the same texture file path?

EDIT: Thanks to zanyoutlaw in the bugs report...file dlc3 is infact a bad file name and should be DLC03 to make the textures work correctly.
TO FIX: Download manually, Extract, Re-name file dlc3 to DLC03, compress(Zip), Install..
