This sounds like it will be really annoying automatically going into sneak mode, what happens if I am sprinting?  What we actually need is to see the sneak indicator while standing like in stealth games like crysis and far cry 1.

Second this. I'm going to try this mod anyway, but honestly a distinct visual or sound queue the moment [caution] becomes a thing would be a bit more appropriate, and probably easier to mod in I'd imagine. Something similar to the dishonored sound whenever a guard is close to spotting the player, maybe combined with the edges of the screen narrowing/blurring for a second.

      Think about it this way:

You're walking through the wasteland, alert, but not able to see and hear everything all the time. When an enemy notices you, it would be like you are noticing them, but not really, and it's more like an instinctual reaction on the character's part. In real life, our brains can easily make assumptions and judgments and notice things long before we are consciously aware of it.

Although, it might be helpful to add a delay timer of at least like 30 seconds if the automatic sneak is ever triggered.

      Thanks for the thoughts~

But the idea of sneaking (crouching) automatically triggering in any circumstance is just not ideal.  Moonman is right, the sneak indicator needs to be always on the screen when standing, that way we are not crouching periodically to determine if we are detected.  And then it should auto hide if hidden for over 5 seconds.

What we need is a script that always shows the sneak indicator whether you are standing or crouching like in other games like crysis.
  6. a suggestion i have for a continuation of this would be a version that sumply has the sneak indicator always active even while standing,

Why is this no longer supported?! This seems like an amazing mod to have!! I'm so sad that I just found it and it's not supported!!

Just means I don't tend to bugs anymore. Should work with all versions of the game: past, present, future.

Realized I never responded to this...
But yes, even as of 1/30/2018, this mod still works perfectly. Thanks so much for such a great mod. I'd endorse it more than once if I could!

Hi uh... instead of (or maybe in addition to) crouching would it be possible to play a sound? Idealy, Id like to use the MGS discovered sound~

    https://www.myinstants.com/instant/alert-metal-gear/

Not sure if theres actually a sound for it to replace though... but you was able to make something trigger when spotted so figured its possible.

I love the sound idea.. But the MSG sound is so shrill. I would like something a few octaves lower if i was going to have a sound for this purpose. But hey make it what ever then i'll custom it once i know the file structure for where the sound goes ;P

Could you do a version where you get the slow-mo effect when you enter the [combat] state?

Why not auto kill everything mod ~Killall when combat starts?
