A very useful mod, thank you, there is only one problem. Some scope don't work (a blank texture is displayed instead of the scope) until I squat or jump.
1) If you click the item from your Pip-Boy, you're stuck until you use console commands or load a save. 2) When you favorite it (as you should) and press the hotkey, it only works if you're in first person, and when you press RMB to exit, it goes into third person. 3) You can't set your RMB as the scope-opening hotkey since that's the scope-closing hotkey. I wanted 1 button to do both.
TL;DR? This mod was a waste of time; stick to AHK scripts. Bethesda should fire their devs for not making this an option in the vanilla game anyway.
I recently installed this mod and I use it combined with FO4 Hotkeys and JoyToKey on my Xbox One controller so I can switch to first person aiming while I hold down the left trigger and it switches back when released. It works like a dream! Thank you so much! I just had one question and I apologize if it is a noob question as I am quite new to the Fallout 4 modding community, but would it be possible to remove the message "Force First Person Cam was equipped" that pops up every time I press the aim button to switch to first person? Thank you again for this amazing mod!
Out of curiosity, how did you get that to work? I have been trying to do the same. When i hold down left trigger i go into First Person aim, however when i release the left trigger, or press the left trigger again, nothing happens, i become stuck in first person aiming mode. I would love to know how you got it setup so that you can simple hold the trigger to aim. Thanks!
okay, I don't have high hopes for this, but I'm just going to put it out there. Can someone make a mod that allows 3rd person aiming with a scope? Games like MGS IV and V, and the Sniper series allow this, so it's not out of the ordinary.
Using the hotkey manager in game and assigning to the item bugs for me, the character freezes in the pipboy screen and I can't do anything unless reload.
This happened to me as well. You shouldn't use the item in the pip-boy. If you want to assign the item via the hotkey manager you activate it and that is the problem. The solution ist to use the console to assign it to your prefered hotkey.
Hey man, nice work but could u pls add that u dont ve to press the right mouse button to stop aiming, and instead ve to use the item again? because i want to put the item with hotkeys on the right mouse button, so i can toggle the aim with ur item. but because you ve to stop aiming with the right mouse button, and the hotkey overwrites the right mouse button, i cant do that... ty and ve a nice day ;)
you know...what'd be cool is if you make a mod that the guns that have scope, get the zoom in scope in 1ft person but when youre in 3rd person you dont zoom in into the scope
