Just want to add this for those confused about SK and Homemaker compatibility: get Settlement Keywords Independent not the original SK or SK Expanded. SKI has a patch for Homemaker and is maintained regularly. It also replaces the original Settlement Keywords esm so it makes it compatible with this mod and pretty much anything that doesn't alter vanilla menus. I am currently using Homemaker, Snap 'n' Build, and SKI all together with absolutely no conflicts. don't forget to download the Homemaker replacement esm file AFTER Homemaker is installed. here is the link to SKI: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12647/? Also pick up Spring Cleaning Compatibility Patch (despite it's name, it doesn't need Spring Cleaning) and load it last in your load order. It helps curb the cell reset bug in settlement cells and helps a whole slew of mods involving settlement cells "get along". LOAD IT LAST IN YOUR LOAD ORDER for best results. Here is the link for that as well, if you are interested: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12702/?

Using SKE by Sharlikran does exactly the same job and is also regularly maintained. Its a matter of choice, SKI uses scripted installs, SKE doesn't.

Looks beautiful but since the items aren't static, they fall everywhere. Nice work but I'd suggest making everything static.

    Cheers.

Hey, Final Render, I'm a big fan of your videos. Thanks for putting this on Nexus! I've been trying to find a good place to make into a Minutemen base of operations on the Island.

Love the videos and rebuilds you are doing! Any chance you are thinking of doing creation kit tutorial videos? I tried to make a settlement at university point in the creation kit following the basic videos out there with no luck

I'll definitely be d/l this makeover once the tech issues are worked out. But have a question: you should install this AFTER completing the Mitch's settlement quest "The Holdout" right? Because wouldn't this have the potential to break this quest if mod installed prior to completing this? Also once you've completed the quest, wouldn't this have the potential to break the settlement feature (due to vanilla bugs like cell resets etc) because it has a more global impact in the cell's exterior area (such as the Visitor Center makeover and other structural feature makeovers)?

People have encountered these sort of settlement issues after installing makeover mods that redo settlements like Sanctuary. The cell reset bug in particular is very problematic for such mods.

Just install Spring Cleaning Compatibility Patch. Despite it's name, it does not need Spring Cleaning. Load it dead last in your load order. Also grab Buildable Power Armor Frames to stop your power armor from resetting to T-45. This one requires a little bit of work to be successful: every frame you pick up in the wasteland needs to be brought back to your settlement. This mods lets you scrap the frame in build mode (it actually "stores" it so you can use the "scrapped" frame to build a new one). It's a 1 for 1 build, no extra resources required just frame for frame. I load this above the patch mod. No Issues. Remember to pull all your armor pieces off your frames before you scrap them or you will lose them forever if you scrap it with them on the frame. hope this helps

      Yes thanks a million!

OK. Just let me make sure I understood you right:

      This mod will

      1. stop the PA armor reset to T-45 armor bug by
      2. allowing my PA to pick up and transport a PA frames (if not over encumbered and assume TGM can be used to un-encumber my PC) found throughout the wasteland to my nearest settlement. At which point it will permit
      3. scrapping and recrafting of PA frames which will be immune to frame resets when cell is reset.

That being said, I should be able to scrap and re-craft existing un-named frames and named frames (like the VIM PA suits in FH) to avoid losing these customized liveries. And finally, holy cow because of Worsin's PA mod:

installing this mod may actually save my sanity. Because it will prevent reset of higher level, custom painted PA armor to T-45, custom painted armor right? Because this was going to be the case with me wasting precious resources & time spent gathering and crafting custom painted PA armor from Worsin's mod. Because if this is the case, my PC wouldn'be been tearing out his hair and wailing about the loss of his prized X02 chrome/black armor . The paint alone would've took him AGES to gather the right ingredients to make that custom texture/paint overhaul. >,<

ad. 2: You have to run home in it as normal, THEN empty and scrap it...

      1- yes
2- what GenericFallout said. MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE THE ARMOR PIECES FROM THE FRAME OR YOU WILL LOSE THEM FOREVER WHEN YOU SCRAP THE FRAME
      3- yes

in the install fomod you have to select the named frames option to get the custom named frames to be craaftable on a one-for-one basis (ie: it takes a scrapped VIM frame to make a new VIM frame, etc, etc...). you can not make new frames from scratch, it takes a scrapped frame to make a new frame, no other resources will be consumed. all rebuilt frames with this mod will protect whatever is attached to it from resetting, custom painted items included.

what i do is place the patch mod at the very bottom of my load order, and the frames mod right above it. this way whenever i add mods that might change cells in my settlements, the patch will load after all the mods and "clean" up the resets that might occur to cells. same goes for the frames mod, except it only fixes the PA resets and the patch mod fixes everything else.

I just want to say thank you for the 30 or so Quantums and Cherries and the 90 something mix of Orange and Berry Mentats. I used those to barter The Dapper Gent off of Pearl. 1 slight glitch I encountered is the ceiling fans on the first floor have misplaced light sources. I have not unlocked the ability to use this settlement yet, so I can be sure it wasn't something I did. Great build, Render.

Hey, I like the idea of the mod but thers a problem, for some reason I cant place anything anymore, every chair or furniture goes deep into the floor and rugs dont work at all. Is there a way you could fix the roof and walls, but leave the floors as they are?

Same thing happens to me. I installed the version without any decorations and found I'm unable to decorate this home for this exact reason. It's a god damn shame because it looks exactly how I hoped it would, but lacks the ability to place furniture properly.

The overhaul isn't working for me but the base repair dose, I cleared some of the settlement already, would that matter?

I installed the repair version after I had made some alterations to the surrounding area (knocked down some trees, moved some of the fencing around, added in fences and removed some cinder blocks from the parking lot) and all my changes remained. It looks like with the Repair version he was VERY careful not to alter anything in the cell other than the walls and roofing (watch the video if you hadn't; it's very cool and informative in regards to how and what he did), which means anything you may have placed down around or inside the house (as long as it doesn't alter the fundamental structure itself) should still be there I placed down some large rugs from Alternate Settlements, then loaded this mod, and they were still there Hope this helps!

Omg, I was just thinking the same thing. I may just look into that later this week. After seeing this, I've become inspired xD! This mod is really amazing! Cleans it up just enough to make it look sturdy, but not crazy immaculate. Thank you so much

Wow, very nice work, still too bad you can't do anything in the house, but it does look nice.

Unfortunately thou "National Park Visitor Center Overhaul" won't work without Settlement Keywords (SK). which causes major problems with "Homemaker - Expanded Settlements", so, is there any way you could get the complete overhaul to work without the need for Settlement Keywords (SK) ?

    Thank you.

It actually requires Settlement Keywords AND Homemaker. Without either it won't load.

but like Rsao' said, the Homemaker and SK are not compatibles.. so we need the modder to change few things or we can't really use it =/
