I'm not on FO4 as much lately, but occasionally get requests for people to use the textures in their own mods or compilations. So I just wanted to leave a comment and let everyone know they are welcome to use the textures in their own mods if desired. No need to make this mod a required mod or anything (though maybe a shoutout in description would be cool), just feel free to incorporation the texture files into your mod so users only need to download one file.
This is my first mod uploaded, so hopefully the file paths are good to go. You will of course have to make sure your game is set up to allow mods. But let me know if I did it incorrectly.
The other equipment pictured in the images belongs to the: Scavenged NCR armor mod and the backpack from Survivalist Go-Bags mod.
Latest version 1.1 now has the rope that wraps around the hood removed instead of just textured over.
I've also added a 3rd version (brown) that removes the mask. This version does have an esp with it that opens up the beard/mouth slot and requires Armorsmith Extended and AWKCR to use.
modder cpdark also made a standalone version of the entire hunter's outfit if wanted http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/14029/?You can drop my files over his textures manually if you wanted to create a standalone hood and avoid changing them all in the game if you still wanted to use my textures.
modder felixthecrazy has also made a maskless version http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/14960/? that may be more to your liking if the color brown or black I used doesn't quite work for you.
felix also released a standalone, no mask, no rope version that does not require Armorsmith Extended! Check it out here: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15023/?
Late response but you can do this yourself by using F04Edit, alternatively I made a standalone mod using the black maskless textures from this mod (Credit given to jsxaraan for the textures). It's even enlarged to be able to fit helmets under it with less clipping. Check it out here.
I did one, though I haven't messed with packaging mods in a while and don't play FO4 regularly anymore, so haven't tested, not sure if it will work. Worse case you can manually pull the file out and drop it in place. Probably won't be updating this file again though, so good luck.
Also, there is no ESP file with this, so you will have to manually change the armor slots if you want something to show up like a mask or beard I'd bet.
Great re texture man loving it. i do have a question regarding one of the pictures, it shows you with different gloves instead of the normal ones the scavenged armor has how did you make it so you can wear different gloves?
Make sure you are only installing one of the files, you don't need to for example install the main one, then the esp one, only the esp one. But should be working... if anyone else has an issue, please let me know; but looks ok on my end.
Hmm, not sure what I've done wrong. Anyone trying to use this version might want to check out Felix's version http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15023/?he's been working on a more advanced version of this sort of mod that will have more options. Until then, maybe I can figure out what I've messed up on that version.
Done! Got permission from L0rd0fWar to upload the retex. Also made an option with slightly more colorful jeans just in case the ones I prefer are too dark for some.
I think some of the darkness just comes from the night/enb/wet combination, it's actually vanilla color. But the mod I'm using does have a dark, vanilla and chrome version: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4874/? and it's just the standalone arm piece. The outfit is just the Scavenged NCR armor, just looks darker here. The gas mask is from this retex http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/14796 of the rebel armor. The backpack is from http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/13539/? which is also where the strap that looks like preston's armor strap across the chest is from.
Indiewolf is on the money, it's the scavenged NCR armor (he has a short and long coat version of it depending on your preference) I did retexture the jeans for my guy, but the jacket is still the same and should come close to matching the hood perfectly.
