This is really nice and practical, replacing the sound files instead of using an ESP file. Does anyone know if there is anything like this for manufacturing noises?
I have actually never seen someone successfully edit a looping sound in Fallout 4. In Audacity you can try the simplest approaches possible and the bugs that persist with these type of mods are always always there. Idk why no one tries releasing an esp adjusting the sound descriptor, if looping audios even have a sound descriptor that is. They don't seem to for weapons. No wonder no one has tried this since 2016.
Well neva mind, it looks like thiz mod targets the sound descriptors and yaaaas they have the wonderful static attenuation az part of them, and thankx to the how-to in the posts, it's not even necessary to install. Ima just "copy as override" into another mod that alters all the turrets and whatnot.
Same here, it happens mainly in big settlements, looks like it's an loading issue or something like that. And unfortunately looks like it's the only mod of the genre.
With this installed, my audio becomes choppy, audio cuts out and it sounds like the volume is at 100%. I uninstall this mod and everything is fine. Lovely.
I think you might have misread the instructions, you manually download the file, unpack it (with 7zip or whatever you want to use), then copy the "sound" folder that you get from that into your fallout4 data folder and last you edit the fallout4 ini as instructed
the "sound" folder doesn't exist in the data folder on it's own you add it from this mod hope that helps :D

Thank you for sharing this annoyance killer for settlement builders.
I'm using MO2 ( Mod Organizer ) and thus have no real sounds folder? Any idea where to put it then?
Kind regards,
Linda
