Wood is lovely, but some doorway pieces are the old texture & color and all the floors are the old texture & color. Combination was grating; therefore uninstalled this mod.

In any case, there's no working sawmills & treatment kilns. No factories, raw materials or supply chains to make the stains or varnishes, no significant vehicle or transport infrastructure... No, 200yrs after the end of all that, wood construction will be split logs or rough-hewn, all untreated and quickly greying. And most of the surviving wood from ruins (if somehow magically survivng the firestorms) will by now be too rotten - and indeed, settlers would be living in the ruins and not building log cabin communes. Come to that, why does Boston look more like the morning after a St Patricks party night and less like a massive bomb crater?

...But yeah, mods like this can look nice, and you may find it better if you combine it with others for the texture issues you mention. But folks who do so need to realise they aren't making it more "real". They need to realise that even the vanilla game's grey junk sh**ty shacks you can build are frankly incredibly over optimistic, not to mention the ridiculous amount of cement and other materials magically available. FO4's designers didn't really think any of that through.

    Endorsed wonderful, I love it!

Kudos #8, this mod is a significant improvement over anything shack in the base game. IMHO better than any of the new floors in the CC workshops or other so called 2k-4k textures replacers. To me crap in 4k is just, well, crapper. Thank you so much for sharing!

This mod is something of a hidden jem but legitimately, it just works. Looks fantastic with not too much and not too little, it adds a nice balance..

In-game, my gaming experience has been dramatically improved with this mod!

Looks are amplified with the use with Sim Settlements as it mixes the textures so some of the plots look like they are being repaired, fixed or upgraded. This was somewhat expected but surprisingly completely enjoyable and appreciated in-game.

haha, happiness with a texture! That is a good thing!

An excellent addition to the game. With your mod, the whole wooden construction seems a lot more "lively", if I may say so. And definitely the color of the real wood is better to be seen in any settlement. Thank you. Endorsed with respect.

    Sincerely yours

klaxon21 and WoodWhale, any chance of a non-replacer set? The idea being that the newer looking textures could be used to represent the newer buildings made by the player, and the old grey textures for wood that has been exposed to the weather for a long time.
