Version 11.9
- TL;DR - 11.9 is many small things: BLACK bloodleaf, ghouls give IRR. BLOOD, fixes for mistakes, balance adjustments, and BloodIsNotFood is turning into a setting. Basically I kept thinking of things while trying to test stuff.
- --------------------------
- NEW OPTIONAL FILE with NEW ITEMS: Jacq-Vasaki-Coast.esp. Black blood leaf from the island now has a blood value, and can be cooked or turned into it's own blood fruit item (uses the Vim! mesh cuz why not, is not actually soda though). If I think of other island-related/dependent goodies, they will go in this file so the whole mod doesn't require Far Harbor.
- Because of the black blood leaf, I re-balanced the normal bloodleaf to have a higher blood value (since it's not of The Fog I think it should do things like give more blood value than Fog-soaked bloodleaf). The trade-off for the black blood fruit having less blood value is it giving a rad-resist boost... cuz the plant evolved in the rad-filled Fog? I don't have a better island-themed idea. The rad-resist boost might get replaced if I think of something cooler later.
- I re-balanced a few values (hp, rads, str, blood, etc.) on some of items (the various blood pack types, vasaki vodka, etc.) cuz I fixed a thing in the code to make things easier for myself and had to changes things anyway (it has to do with the vasaki getting half of the effects from some things, which is still a thing). I fixed what has weight, what doesn't have weight, what has value, what doesn't have value, what's worth more or less, added and remove certain keywords, etc. Basically I opened up all my items in FO4Edit at once via compare and cleaned up crap to be more consistent and logical and such (for example: tainted blood is now worth less than normal blood, not more *insert the :stupidme: emoji from deviant art* https://st.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/stupidme2.gif). I also tried to pull sound effects and such from the UFO4P where applicable (cuz beth games are buggy messes, so everyone should totally use that mod).
- Blood Fruit Pack (from bloodleaf) has a more logical recipe: plastic, bloodleaf, stimpak, and dirty water. Idk what I was thinking before. If you find yourself with purified water but not dirty water often, I recommend my Craftable Booze mod (it has a recipe for 1 dirty water from 1 purified water). Black blood fruit recipe is based on this new recipe.
- NEW RECIPE - Irradiated Blood from 2 Blood Sac (which I think drops from blood bugs? I could be wrong).
- UI "BUG" FIX / Work-Around: Most items still show their blood value at the top of the list of effects, but a few can't. For example I gave the Refreshing Beverage a blood value (since I finally noticed it has a blood pack as an ingredient), but it already has "Cures All Addictions" in that slot (so the blood value hides). Items with this problem now have the blood value down in the normal list (with the hp, rads, str, etc.). Another example: if you play on survival Nuka-Blood shows "Caffeinates" in that slot, so now it has the blood value in the normal/lower part of the effect list (only on survival, on normal difficulties the blood value is in the top slot). I did this by making a dummy actor value and magic effect (the blood value in the normal list part doesn't actually do anything, I just made sure it matches the real hidden blood value for items where I can't use the special top effect slot), and if you bother trying to use console commands to mess with the dummy AV, nothing will happen. Nothing uses it except the dummy magic effect (hence the name Vasaki_ThisIsNotUsed so I can't forget).
- NEW CATEGORY at chem and cooking stations "(Drink) Vasaki" that has most of the vasaki recipes (the game doesn't like 2 recipes making the same object in the same category, so it's not literally all of them). All recipes can still be found where they were before too, I just also gathered most of them up so I can see them in one place (it makes double checking shit and thinking about balance easier for me when I'm working on stuff; should also make it easier to decide what to craft as well? If not then whatever, I don't care).
- Many of the vasaki recipes are now HIDDEN for non-vasaki characters at all crafting stations. Many of the items I've made aren't meant to be used by non-vasaki characters so this helps reduce clutter for those characters. Cuz idk about u, but I have enough random junk at my chem station already.
- BUG FIX: settings > Jump height > 5 did nothing, now it sets the jump height to 5. *insert the dA :dummy: emoji* https://st.deviantart.net/emoticons/d/dummy.gif
- LOGIC FIX: Without hard mode, bottling blood from GHOULS NOW GIVES Irradiated Blood (which now has a blood value) instead of glowing blood. Blood packs can now be made of irradiated blood (instead of glowing) and rad-x/radaway/stimpak. Chem station has a recipe that requires chemist and uses less ingredients; chem and cooking have a recipe with no perk requirements that uses more ingredients.
- Settings > Hard mode > Incognito doesn't effect what blood you get from ghouls (with incognito enabled you get irradiated blood, just like with incognito disabled).
- NEW SETTING - Under Hard Mode: Ghoul Blood. This is now how you get the item Ghoul Blood when bottling/drinking blood from ghouls.
- Ghoul Blood now hurts your legs more and gives more poison damage (for both bottled and fresh). It just didn't feel harmful enough to me before. I want this item to suck and really make you question rather you should just go thirsty over drinking it. Again, the spirit of the settings in the hard mode section is to make things more difficult / a pain in the butt cuz I was bored.
- NEW SETTING - Under True Vampire: Blood Is Food. I got sick of having to duplicate all the effects for all the potions to another file (well 2 or 3 files: one for me, one u guys, plus sometimes into another file I use) when I wanted to change anything, so I re-did the whole blood isn't food thing. By default this is disabled meaning only some of blood value items will help with HC hunger & water thirst (and at any time I might changes which ones for balance issues). Enable the setting and every time anything helps your thirst for blood by any amount, it will help the HC hunger and thirst so you shouldn't need to worry about either of them (don't worry if you see the item "Blood Is Food" in status in your pip-boy, that's just the setting working, it will will go away soon).
- I could probably use the same sort of work-around for diseases. if you have an opinion about blood curing diseases and/or fixing addictions, speak up cuz I think both are totally possible to make happen. I think it's also possible to just go over-board and have the Blood Is Food thing just helps the HC hunger and thirst at regular intervals, basically a work-around to get rid of them. Again, if u have an opinion, voice it.
- The new Blood Is Food setting renders the Jacq-Vasaki-BloodIsNotFood.esp file pointless. Everything in this file for it's 11.9 version is a straight up copy from 11.9 of the main Jacq-Vasaki file. It should ONLY be used with existing saves to avoid hurting them by removing an esp file. I STRONGLY recommend removing this from your load order as soon as you start new save/s. This file won't be updated for future versions of this mod because I'm sick of dealing with all the duplicate crap confusing me on why I can't see my edits and having to remember to copy every edit to about 3-4 different places. It's hard enough to keep track of this crap in 1 file. Plus I'm past sick of having to work in CK, make sure I've closed the game so I don't have to try to save twice, save, close CK, open FO4Edit, wait, copy the changes, make sure the game is closed so I don't have to re-open FO4Edit and re-do the changes, save, close FO4Edit, open CK, wait, go back to what I was doing, and open the game again every single time. I'm done doing that.
- The Glowing Blood Pack might have a weird bug that I can't figure out. In some of my saves it has End -3 or -28 when it's supposed to have End -1. I tried removing the effects and copying them back in from items that work, that didn't help. In one of my saves it does have End -1. So either my saves are just super broken (no surprise) or I have no idea what's going on. If you see this bug in your game too, please say so. If you notice this bug starting and can nail down what started it, please let me know.
- Vasaki perk give +50 hp instead of +20.
- Since the messages can't be shown for more time, I changed some of them to either being shorter or be a message box so it's possible to read the whole thing. Apparently the message display time is a field that does nothing and messages can't show for more time without being a message box.
- Renamed some of the worst "Thirsty for Blood" to "Need Blood" so it goes parched, craving, thirsty, need, and dying with this update.

Version 11.8.2
- FIXED BUG: Tainted blood now actually CAUSES jet addiction and makes psycho and med-x addiction more likely (though tainted blood alone doesn't seem to trigger addiction to med-x and psycho, but using med-x or psycho is more likely to trigger an addiction if you've had a lot of tainted blood recently).
- NUKA-WORLD FILE ONLY: Nuka-Blood now craft-able under the nuka cola station, in addition to the chem & cooking stations.

Version 11.8
- When playing with too much SM blood, their blood has a lower value (fresh and packs).
- Made a enable all and disable all button in the hard mode settings (both conditional, you won't always see both).
- Blood Is Not Food includes all the other types of blood: ghoul, SM, etc. Because it includes the new item ghoul blood, you have to have v11.8 of the main file to use v11.8 of the blood is not food file.
- New Item: Ghoul Blood. When playing with vasaki incognito, feral ghouls now give ghoul blood, a not so great blood item. Non-feral ghouls you can't bottle blood from when using this setting (at least for now). Without incognito, everything is the same as before (non-feral ghouls give normal blood packs, feral ghouls give glowing blood).

- Started working on Hard Mode (it's in the settings holotape)
-New setting to add the new Vasaki Incognito perk - it's to help if you wanna role play a vasaki that is hiding the whole blood-sucker thing. You can only drink fresh blood while hidden, not traveling with a companion, and out of bottles. You can only blood blood while hidden and have bottles. Enabling this makes it impossible to eat corpse if you have the cannibal perk (besides if you're trying to act normal, why would you be eating people?).
-Moved some functions to make my life easier (won't effect game play, I tested to make sure)
-New setting to change the blood that comes from Raiders (tainted blood). Basically their blood has a lower blood value and carries a risk of chem addiction, because, let's be honest here, they aren't the healthiest people and there's a very good chance any given raider is either on something or it withdrawal from it at any given moment. Right now all we have is a risk of jet addiction. I don't know how to set an addiction with scripting, so I'm using the game's normal system. This means I had to choose only 1 addiction, and the raiders all talk about how the jet will make you jittery...
- Started working on Hard Mode (it's in the settings holotape)

- Changes to buddy: He now chills nuka-blood to ice cold nuka-blood, and beer to ice cold beer (because if you ask me, that's a bug).
- Hitting At The Limit or Too Much Blood cures diseases when playing on survival.

- Effect of drinking super mutant blood is visible in the pip-boy (effect has been there for a long time asa spell, but that hides it from the pip-boy, so I fixed that).
- NEW ITEM: Super Mutant Blood - gained from bottling blood of super mutants, has effects similar to drinking their blood fresh (less int & char, more str & end)
- Drink recipes re-balanced at the chem station to require less rare ingredients (I found myself never having the stuff to make any of them)
- Drink recipes added to the cooking station (though these recipes are different from the chem station, they're meant to be simpler)
- NEW ITEM: 5 Blood Packs - am I the only one tied of spamming the living crud out of the drink blood pack button? There's also a recipe to break this back down into 4 blood packs (don't just go back and forth for xp, that's cheating ok?)
- New ITEM: Cooked blood leaf - this more for playing with something like frost. It'll restore your thirst without giving rads, in case you don't have any better options. (this might have been in the previous version? idk, idc enough to check)
- Effects of the drinks (vasaki vodka, bloody mary, and sarila's usual) have been changed slightly for "balance"
- Cleaned up which files were available because this new nexus UI makes it hard to find what you're looking for anyway. If you want any certain version, message me. I have most versions backed up on my PC.
- I might have made the status messages stay in the corner of the screen a bit longer? I think I did that before, but maybe it even longer again at some point.

- Housekeeping:
- Bottling blood from ghouls making glowing blood packs
- Some of the Rosy red effects moved to fresh blood
- New setting in debug - toggle chems/addiction being canceled out by better rosy red
- Blood & blood packs heal limbs, because vampires don't need stimpacks like humans do.
- Glowing blood pack doesn't cause a noise, it causes rad damage.

Once you eat a corpse, you can't then drink the blood from it, so eat corpse has a blood value of 3 (drink blood is still blood value 5+).
Settings holotape now actually has it's own texture instead of just using the one from the game.

Ended up landing on a blood pack that's basically a red copy of the glowing blood pack for the look of this potion.
Deleted old magazine, put a vasaki blood pack on the floor near the med pack inside the blue building (so like maybe it fell out? I don't feel like learning how containers decide what's inside yet, so I haven't changed the container)
Existing characters will just keep the perk; you don't need to go pick up the blood pack unless you make a new character.

-Copied the eat corpse stuff into the vasaki "Blood..." thing. It even shows your rank of cannibal.

- I fixed some logic in the script, so script update, so more important than usual to back up your saves.
- Drinking blood with rosy red won't bring you back to normal. Also the normal range is bit wider, because I fixed the logic.
- Sarila's moonshine is totally gone, so if you have any they'll probably disapear. I just like the name Sarila's Usual better (and totally killed myself with it earlier...)
- Minor effect adjustments by like .5 here and there for Fresh Blood, Rosy Red, and maybe others.
- Somehow ending up past the point of dead for your thirst then drinking blood won't kill you. But it will put you at the need level right before death.

- Drinking blood directly from a body now satisfies survival thirst and hunger (might take 2 bodies to actually change things, don't know why). This is done via an item called Fresh Blood with the ID Vasaki_freshBlood. Customizing this consumable potion will change what effects you get when drink blood directly from the source.

- I got tired of juggling raw meat for blood and raw meat for food, so I dropped the for blood recipes. If you want them back, please tell me and I'll make an optional esp for them.
- Blood packs seemed to be very rare, so I raised their blood value by 1 and sorted them as (Aid) instead of [Raw].
- New craftable item: "Blood Fruit Pack" (chem station, healing) made mainly from blood leaf. Long story short, in my creative writing there is actually an alternative to blood for vasaki: a plant that has the oh-so-creative name BloodFruit.
- There are no script changes, so you *should* be able to continue with the same save, but to be safe please back up your save files before applying this update.

- So apparently I had forgotten to uncomment out the kill player part when blood thirst has been ignored for too long. Oops. This possible means that if you ignored it, got to the point where you should be dead, and drank blood you might have died then.
