Really nice mod! Sadly abandoned. I would love to see to craft these drinks with required bottles as well - Rum bottle, Whiskey bottle, Beer bottle etc. For rum maybe sugar bombs as recipe - since sugar canes needed to make rum, and this is the only sugary item in the game. For the vodka - Tato - its a hybrid of potato and tomato, and vodka is made of potato, and also mutfruit for wine, whiskey and bourbon corn and razorgrain also razorgrain for the beer too :)
Odd , I must have installed this wrong but I have no idea how. O.o I build a distillery, wire it to a generator, and click "E" on it, it goes third person briefly then exits out. I can't get the interface to come up.
Allow me a suggestion, Could it be anything smaller? As close to one of the workshops, I think of it because the distilleries we see in films are similar to the large chemical stations. of course your delivery already the bottled liquid and this is something amis, but if you see the drinking companion who gives us beers he is a little bigger than a normal robo,
my suggestion is just that it is something of a size resembling a large chemical station that can be mounted inside a house
I have an issues making rum. The issue being the crafting recipe only works with dirty boxes of sugar bombs. I used the contraptions DLC to start mass producing sugar bombs so that I could a make sustainable supply of rum how ever the manufacturing machine makes the pre-war/new sugar bombs and your distillery only accepts post-war/old sugar bombs. It would be greatly appreciated if you could add a recipe for both kinds of sugar bomb.
I like the idea. My only gripe is that Viper008 uses a machine that is in fact an industrial sized water pump. I use this water pump all the time in most of my settlements, from another mod I have installed.
Since ole'Vipe hasn't been seen in over a year, I guess the chances for another distillery model are slim...
This is a really great addition to the game, though I have a suggestion if you're still looking for ideas. Maybe wine could be added to the list? It'd give us something to do with all those Slog tarberries.
@charliedsf perhaps a different object such as wine barrels that slowly produce wine, like the water purifiers slowly create clean water, if you feed tarberries. Maybe allow to make functional Amontillado for variety with different requiremnets and bonuses
Would it be possible to rename the bottles you make? That would be awesome. It would feel like you just brewed your own wine/beer.etc even more! This mod is already great though. I'm getting it!
This is a fun mod, but makes no sense economically, even with the boost in happiness, it costs 44 caps to make a 2 cap bottle of Whisky? To fix, I would add a new "Quality" whisky for 50 caps? Just a thought, as of right now, in Survival mode this mod is not that helpful, but i did endorse it
thank you very much for this, i never understood why rum was so rare in the game, real annoying how hard it is to find when everything else is super easy to find, 95% of the time i end up just leaving the vodka, whiskey, bourbon behind because there is so much of it they just clog up my inventory.
edit: i like the happiness idea too, and btw i though there was a better distillery type model in the game, like a moonshine still style? could swear i saw one
edit again: found this mod, don't know if the model itself is custom though, you could ask, although his does the same as yours, i don't care for his god mod liquor though. i like yours a lot more though, its more lore friendly and limited.
It's sort of a custom model - it's the simple chemistry bench without the bench part. I agree, the current mesh is a bit on the clunky side and doesn't really look like a homemade still.
My suggestion would be to simply scale down the mesh you are currently using and add a different control panel to overlap and hide the one that is attached to it, you know, to keep the size of the controls consistent. If you are having trouble, or aren't sure what to do I'd be happy to help.
