that 'toggle collisions' tip you included is actually so useful, it's such a niche use for it

Is there any chance of you making an easy fence mod? The player picks a start point and an end point and if they have the mat. a fence is built between the 2 points. It would be so much easier to surround a settlement that way. The same can be used for gates also. Sorry I have no idea how to make a mod that's why I am asking.

A mod like this for all fences would be good, but one thing everyone (at least on PC) can easily do themselves with all of the fence types (if one just has a niggling issue in a few spots), is to use getpos & getangle, and setpos & setangle for x,y,z in console commands. And use getscale & setscale too to change the sizes of things. The process is essentially identical to how it was in FO3 and what we had to do in that game because it didn't have a build mode.

When you do this in FO4 the things you alter often look fuzzy/weird but after reloading or visiting a different cell and returning they look ok. But importantly, always make a game-save before doing it, because you can click on the wrong thing or accidently type the wrong letter or co-ordinate in, etc. And, important: after doing such changes, stay for a bit and make sure at least one settler has navigated your alterations without problems.

    You have done gods work...

The fact it was not like this from when FO4 was released is mind blowing.

Look when I'm building walls to protect my settlers from radiation-zombies, rogue robots and orcs with miniguns, I just don't want them to be able to peek under my fence at us okay?

Coming into the Fallout modding scene way late and this was an excellent find, thanks so much for making this.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but with Snappable Junk Fences, you can collide up to half the fence into the ground. Is the function of using both mods so that you don't have to sacrifice height?

      Simply, Yes!

'Snappable Junk Fences' changes the size of the wall by 5%

So currently there will be a gap between the wall pieces if you first build the wall with the 'Snappable Junk Fences' and then install my mod over it.

But no worries! Vigge to the rescue. I will add a optional patch that will make my wall pieces 5% bigger, so you can build with 'Snappable Junk Fences' and then switch to mine for better looks

      Best regards!

Wouldn't it be possible to add his snap points to your meshes? So rather than having to switch mods (which doesn't really work if you intend to have more than one settlement), the two would be compatible?

Copying the snaps isn't actually all that hard in NifSkope - just open both meshes at once, ctrl+c on the snap group you want, and then ctrl+v it into the same place on the mesh that doesn't have it. As he's resized the mesh he may need to adjust the snaps a bit, and he'll likely have to add the ws_sinkmax so that it can sink into the ground easier.
