Really enjoyed exploring this mod. The details were good especially the cat and the live little scorpion feature. I used 'Camp' to establish a work bench which wasn't hard. Unfortunately there are issues with borders etc like mentioned below. If you travel to MS Azalea you will find the stern cabin and seaward side barge complex unavailable for travelling to with the warning 'you cannot travel there' etc. I believe that it is a result of this mod as no others impinge on that area of operation on my list. A great mod concept which is inspired but just needs a little more work. I have to uninstall unfortunately but it is well worth that more work and would download again. I hope this comment is not too negative as I enjoyed the build itself.
Handy-Dandy Vault-Tec Public Service Announcement:
This mod removes settlement borders. Do not confuse this for a good thing, as it edits cells in order to do so. As several people, including myself, have found out, by installing this mod you completely cut off access to Sanctuary Hills. There is also the potential to be unable to access Diamond City as well.
I have run some tests using Sanctuary as an example, as it is the most likely to break with this mod installed. You cannot walk into Sanctuary due to an invisible wall that extends around the settlement borders, up to near Vault 111. You cannot fast-travel to Sanctuary either; Your standard loading screen (which typically has a 3d model and a text blurb) will be replaced by the "quick" loading screen (plain black screen with a Vault-Tec logo in the bottom right), but the loading screen will last for about a minute or so, then cancel. You will be back where you attempted to fast-travel from. Not even the coc command works. Tested with the Sanctuary Cell, and the Root Cellar Cell.
In conclusion, I have two things to say. One, if you installed this mod because you liked the oil rig, I suggest you uninstall it unless you can live with not being able to access several important areas of the game. Two, if you installed this mod to get rid of settlement borders, uninstall it. Build High (http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/3528/?) is a better alternative. It keeps the borders in place, but extends them. You get a larger build area, and you don't break your game.
TL; DR: Do not use this mod if you like Sanctuary Hills or Diamond City.
Unfortunately, the latest update of fallout 4, far harbor, has broken this mod for some users. You can still access your Oil Rig by adding the following lines to your fallout4.ini:
[General] bBorderRegionsEnabled=0
Then save and make sure your ini file is set to read only.
I like this concept, but would highly recommend placing it in a custom worldspace to avoid some rather major issues this might cause. This would require some work, but that is sometimes the price that must be paid. The only thing remaining then would be discouraging players from attempting to swim to shore, and that can be done by making the water absurdly radioactive, filled with some sort of sea monsters, or littered with pre-war u-boat defenses that shoot anything in the water. If I was making this I'd go to any lengths to avoid messing with borders, as that is in the "Cloning Dinosaurs" league of bad ideas. Otherwise, great work! As a man of the sea (Norwegian, from a long line of hardy, coast dwelling viking Übermenschen) I highly appreciate this opportunity, as I highly doubt I'll get my hands on any of the Maunsell sea forts soon.
I have found minor problem with this mod, and I have not turned off the borders as I have had issues with it before, it is around sanctury and there seems to be border walls where with out the mod is 100% clear, no invisible walls.
the truth I love this base but need more space in it of the platform that gives jenial More space to put everything or create settlements in it this suits like an advanced position of operations of rapid answer Which biene great against the enemies who believe that they will cost to attack us that's why this one more a mod vertiver stays of fable also has good views
Awesome. Would be really sick if it had it's own world space out in the middle of the ocean, and you take a boat to get there--just like the boat to far harbor.
