If you're talking about the one who kept changing colors, that was a chameleon deathclaw. They occur in the vanilla game, but you won't see any until level 81+

It would be epic if someone would re-do these tutorials with literally any kind of subtitles/text to speech/voiceover/etc. To call them difficult to follow would be an understatement.

Can you see if if Im doing this right? Ive been trying this method for skyrims bodyslide, but Im not sure if the programs are written differently or if im doing something wrong on my end? Id greatyly apprciate the help for riggin armor for skeleton creatures.

it seems simple to copy the bones from a reference to something of a very similar shape. I am having trouble though trying to add multiple items to a creature nif and then assigning them bone weights.

unless I create a BS skin instance and bone data in nifskope first, it doesnt copy my selected bone weights to the object.

Now I seem to have done all the correct steps but added objects are invisible. I been stuck on this for ages and I have to say, there are not a lot of tutorials, most are for human outfits.

could you release the godzilla deathclaws? Might be fun to see that while traveling the commonwealth. give them the atomic breath and it would be complete

Thank you for the tutorials and the advice. Thanks to these I'm able to work on adding more creatures to prowl the Commonwealth. Left you an image of my werewolf model that's now in-game. And an endorsement for a job well done.

Nice job on your werewolf there, I know OS can be a pain to rig monsters with sometimes lol

haha, definitely hear you there. Especially if the thing you're trying to rig doesn't have close to the same proportions as the reference. Deathclaws have small heads and don't have long snouts. Sometimes, it gets so very close to having to hand weight paint the everything. Though having experienced building skeletons and rigging in 3Ds Max as well, I'm of the belief that rigging in general is just a PITA.

Ok, and I have also thought of seeing if I could change the scale of a certain armor model in outfit studio to resolve a bit of clipping, and two things happened. When I exported it as a nif, and looked at said nif in Nifskope it gave me a notification like error, something close to "mds hash checking has detected that this will not be 100% accurate after saving" or something like that, and when I changed the nif, and went in game to see how it worked I CTD once it has been equipped.

    Is there something I'm missing?

Yeah that's the issue I have been having recently. I can't for the life of me figure it out and it only started doing this.

As of recent bodyslider has been doing this to all my meshes. Even the ones where all I did was scale them downwards.

I've been watching your tutorials for a long while, and tried to load a reference for a robot, but for some reason I can't load the whole robot at once.
I also tried this with a vertibird, but same issue, and the model looks off, like blade model goes right infront of the windshield xD

    -Edit-
Ok I did find out the new import nif, I'd assume I would use that option instead, or am I wrong?

Your tutorials look nice, but I can't follow them because of reasons I left in a comment on YT. While you slightly complained about text-tutorials, they are good for some people, like me. I'm not good at copying, but following directions. You can copy what you see a magician do, but not get the trick right, correct?
I can't wait to see how far this goes!
    EDIT:
Also, I was wondering how you did it for that automatron assaultron. Did you put the dress model over the torso? And if so, could I just give the assaultron CBBE body parts?

If someone who was able to follow the videos, could you write up a text tutorial to add to it? Or do a video with audio? I've got lots of cool ideas, but these tutorials are nearly useless to me because of my internet connection and blurry video.

Hey MrCasual or Buffscale, big fan. Your tutorial got me featured on Alchestbreach and Gopher, my two favorite modding-centric YouTubers.

But I have a problem, people want anatomically correct spiders. So I edited my mesh and everything but now the model won't work in the creation kit despite everything being nearly identical (except for a few readjustments).

The method I previously did worked last time, however, now the Creation Kit will just shut down entirely anytime I upload.

Is this an error with the skeleton, weight or mesh? If so do you know a way to fix it?

You have to clean the mesh in Nifskope

I assume you used Radscorpion, so
      1. copy branch your spider into a Radscorpion vanilla nif
      2. Change the material names and shader names to match the original word for word
      3. Check the bones and their target, and fix it
      4. Check the wet material on the Spider mesh and changed it to be the default
      5. Then delete the original Radscorpion
      6. Removed one from the ninode children list
      7. Update tangent spaces and sanitized the mesh

If you can send me the Nif, I can do this for you, and I might make a youtube tutorial for it, because if you don't know your way around Nifskope, it can be a litle confusing.

Copy Branch do you mean the Scene Root or the BSSubIndexTriShape?

Either way, thank you for the quick response especially this early in the morning hours.

      Copy branch on the BSSubIndexTriShape

      Sorry for not clarifying

This is usually why I just make most of my tutorials in videos, in text I forget to mention things
