I have installed this mod, but am having a strange bug occurring. I have several mods installed CORRECTLY. But only those that make changes to the games original assets are working. All the mods that add NEW non game additions are not working. When I ran game for first time through Steam, it created a new folder in the root game directory called "Mods". But I have been installing mods to the data folder. Since this game is structured the same as the Elder Scrolls games, also by Bathesda, thought that mod installed would be the same. Wondering if anyone else is having this issue, and whether they found a fix. At this time this follower mod is one of the mods not working. Also have EFF installed, which is suppose to enable multiple followers\companions, and it is not working also. Have done all the necessary INI tweaks to make mods work and have checked file "plugins" in AppData and all mods have been added there that are listed in "DLClist" file. and "plugins" is set to read only. Also wondering if those mods need to be in "Mods" folder instead. Going to try that. See if it works or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Edit: Got it working. A file "Load order" was missing from my AppData\Local\Fallout4. Have uploaded image. Endorsed. Thanks
Wait your using eff with fallout 4 ?? , I didnt know there was an fo4 version ? I only started this playing this myself, but never used eff even with skyrim, You may need f4se since most mods will require that to work ?
Question. If I use the mod, (which I have,) and I loot the basement, (which I also have too,) will the items or weapons/armor disappear from my inventory if I uninstall the mod? ???? It's a good mod, just don't want it loading anymore if the area is vacant, ya know?
As far as I am aware, as long as you have the items in your inventory (or stashed in a box in Sanctuary or something) switching off this mod will not remove them. Essentially, the mod just places them in world - once you pick them up, they're yours.
The only reason you'd maybe want to keep it active is so you can go back and pick up some of the stuff you weren't able to carry first time around.
i know you have the idea of helping newbies, but the game is already quite old. i can imagine a few new players when the steam summer sales hit, but those newbies mostly play vanilla first before they discover the thousands of mods.
im sure there are alot of people who need this extra help from the start, but personally i find it nothing more than cheating your way into a better start, so i wont endorse it.
From the outside sure; but the Root Cellar in Sanctuary doesn't have half the stuff this mod does. Such as lots of bottlecaps, rad-free food, cool weapons and tons of ammo as well as lots of hard-to-find components and building materials. Plus, it'd not as cluttered or dirty :-)
