check here It has instructions on how to make this mod work properly. It has a patch for this mod to let it's core functionality work again (to be able to sell the rewards) but in other ways than originally designed, and I also modified the NPCs to work properly with FROST mixed with many other mods (as they weren't attacking). It also contains a patch to the script that makes the easy AI spawn more
I renamed these files that were overwriting F4SE ones, I guess this mod just needs update to the latest F4SE version. Form.pex.DISABLED.OverwritesF4SE ObjectReference.pex.DISABLED.OverwritesF4SE ScriptObject.pex.DISABLED.OverwritesF4SE
Did not test to know what features are still working tho...
If the sources for scripts were available we could try to patch it ;)
PS.: I post this on the bugs section here too
EDIT: disabled all these: Actor.pex.DISABLED.OverwritesF4SE Form.pex.DISABLED.OverwritesF4SE ObjectReference.pex.DISABLED.OverwritesF4SE Quest.pex.DISABLED.ALotOfModsAndVanillaBA2modifyThisToo ScriptObject.pex.DISABLED.OverwritesF4SE workshopnpcscript.pex.DISABLED.VanillaBA2andUnoficialUpdateModifyThisToo
I can confirm the ICE AI is working (novice terminals at least)! And nothing else seems broken after disabling the F4SE scripts overwritings. I also got some cash and data files but I think they are overpowered (on FROST) and I wont use them. No idea yet about the NPC tho.
Do not use this mode as of the 1.0 release, it will remove your ability to send dismissed followers to your settlement of choice and remove your ability to recruit any of the unique settlement merchants by causing the settlement list menu to not come up during conversation with them.
P.S. It was a great concept and would love to see this get fixed in the future.
This looks like an amazing mod, brilliant concept, pretty sure this could easily hit the HOT FILES if you change a few things:
-First things first, the mods page, to do well on the nexus it needs to catch people's eyes and the title also needs to give them short but detailed information, so whip up a terminal screen or something similar with large stylish font saying Hacking Evolved, secondly maybe change the mod title to "Hacking Evolved - Reward system rehaul" or something similar you get the idea it just needs to tell them from a glance what it does
-Make acquiring the stolen data from the terminal not work everytime maybe like 55 % of the time to balance it more + maybe display a prompt upon hacking letting the user if they managed to steal the data like "Data Found: Memory Dump Successful"
-Adjust the stolen data value! make it a realistic amount that maybe goes off the characters level + difficulty required to hack the terminal
-Make two optional files for instant caps on successful hack & the enemies that spawn as me and I bet many other may not want these features but it would be nice to be optional
Getting caps straight after hacking makes no sense especially if the data you steal is worth caps and the same goes for the enemies guarding the terminal it makes little sense to me to have them, never the less making them optional is a good idea!
I took the time to give this feedback because I really want this mod to succeed!!! It's got real potential as I said HOT FILES, hope this helps, keep up the good work.
Perhaps make only certain people buy data files? Sturges for Minutemen, Tinker Tom for the Railroad, one of the proctors for the BOS, and researchers from the Institute? In addition to moving Finn somewhere else; maybe set him up a small tech shop in Diamond City for those who take a more neutral route.
Agreed on the high demand about "Don't give caps after hacking" if its giving you already a data file you can sell for caps + the enemy AI that spawns. Optionals would be good. Maybe make the AI only spawn if you fail the terminal and get locked out?
I do like the whole concept but the ai should be weaker and probably more prewar.. Well unless we go by an idea that the institute jacked all computers xD.. But still the ai should be weaker
The concept is good, there are just few things that could be adjusted:
-Might be better to set The Finn as essential npc. He carries around 83.000 caps and has no armor and can be easily killed.
-Finn shouldbe moved to non-settlement location like Drumlin Diner. A lot of people use Red Rocket as their "main base" and some have installed mod converting it into interrior cell. In short, no one wants a stranger hanging at home. http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Drumlin_Diner
-Include Jironti's "No caps after hack" scripts in optional files after giving proper credit.
I thank you could go even further with this by adding a "technical Files" to this ( as suggested by another 55% -75%) that would be sold to the BOS guy that gives you the technical documents quest. have it set up where you didn't get the Technical files till you got the BOS technical documents quest. or just make it where he accepts the hacked files as if they were the technical documents. I think the amount of caps he gives out is a fare amount.
Removed the caps it gives for the impatient folks just replace the one in your fallout 4 script folder with this<3 its a bit sloppy but I hope thats ok http://www.mediafire.com/download/38ub2l74o9uf6nb/WmHackScript.pex By the way love the mod!

Just wish it didn't break with recent versions of fallout. Breaks conveyor belts
