I know this - but I also know people have had difficulty getting him in the right place - plus this mod means that you can get the Cryolator before even leaving the vault and meeting Dogmeat.
Actually a great mod idea. I always thought the player should have access to it as an early game item to get going since the Cryolator is hard to find ammo for and makes the most sense as an edge early game.
I would like to inform everyone that stumbles upon this mod that, if brought into the room, Dog Meat can be told to 'fetch weapons' and he can just nab it right out of it's case. No pick-locking needed.
Thankyou, seem very strange that the player has to go back into that vault after all they lost in there to get a dam gun, this is not call a cheat but a lucky break Ps, if you ever notice this, by the time you go get the gun, you seen already others in the world have them too? Dam thought it was the only one in the world? lol to get up the top skill to lock pick, pff was not worth it in the end to hurry, it was, out of date and under powered by the time you walk back in the vault to get it!
I have installed this mod, but am having a strange bug occurring. I have several mods installed CORRECTLY. But only those that make changes to the games original assets are working. All the mods that add NEW non game additions are not working. When I ran game for first time through Steam, it created a new folder in the root game directory called "Mods". But I have been installing mods to the data folder. Since this game is structured the same as the Elder Scrolls games, also by Bathesda, thought that mod installed would be the same. Wondering if anyone else is having this issue, and whether they found a fix. At this time this follower mod is one of the mods not working. Also have EFF installed, which is suppose to enable multiple followers\companions, and it is not working also. Have done all the necessary INI tweaks to make mods work and have checked file "plugins" in AppData and all mods have been added there that are listed in "DLClist" file. and "plugins" is set to read only. Also wondering if those mods need to be in "Mods" folder instead. Going to try that. See if it works or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Edit: Got it working. A file was missing in AppData\Local\Fallout4. Have uploaded image. Endorsed. Thanks
I always just console the fucker open and just say I smashed it open with some piece of junk lying around. Making it a Master lock was a dick move (Advanced would've been better), as it's a weapon that is pretty much crippled by a rapid-fire nature with ammunition whose rarity is on par with 2mm EM Rounds (Gauss Rifle shots, except that thing is slow firing).
It's also rare to see a Master lock that isn't openable another way (Terminal or Key).
Guess Bethesda wanted us to work for it. Though, technically, Dogmeat can actually get it for you if you prompt him correctly. Just a bit fiddly so I figured I'd make this mod.
Neat idea, but I think you should have placed it on or next the overseer's body. He is laying at the desk not 8 feet away. This thing was his baby and I am sure he would have kept the key with him at all times. Just a tiny thing but a good idea none the less. May try it on next play-through.
