    I like it.

    Some people may say,
but doesn't that belong in Skyrim?

    I think it belongs anywhere.
Anywhere justice needs to be done.

I wish this was in Skyrim.

When wearing a power armor, the position of right hand feels strange because it is not close to the guard.

Just a quick FYI. Great swords are not slow weapons. That's an old myth. You can hit 5 times in one second with a long sword and 7 times in one second with a great sword. I perfected the technique back in the late '80s. Actually got to see footage of my weapon being in two places at once in a video frame, which meant it went from sitting still to impact in less than 1\30 of a second.

I'll have to look more into this weapon! I actually came across it by just looking up HD pictures of great swords to base this off of. It would definitely be awesome to watch somebody wield a great sword and swing it really fast. Maybe when I learn how to change the weapon animations I'll add a medium lunge attack to the weapon.

I think you can change the sword's speed independent of what animation speed it uses. At least you could in Skyrim iirc.

      "7 times in 1 second".

You should do HEMA. You'd win every competition in the world, if you can move a 1.5-2.0kg sword at that speed, with any semblance of control.

That is a little faster than most HEMA practitioners, but not much. Two handed western swords really are not slow weapons.

Historical longswords were VERY FAST and did not require much strength to use effectively. Longswords were as light as rapiers, and often even lighter. Most modern pseudo-replicas are indeed much heavier than historical weapons, because they are made of shitty stainless steel and would break in half if you tried to cut anything with them. Google some HEMA videos.

As for greatswords, well they were in fact a different weapon from the early age of gunpowder. Most greatswords were more like metal polearms, and they were used to break apart pike formations. They were used in a completely different way than longswords, and they were not carried around on one's person. It would be a very bad idea to bring a greatsword to a longsword duel.

Still, i'm endorsing the s#*! out of this mod for not being a ridiculous fantasy paddle.

i am trying to change the speed of the weapon in fo4edit, i have tried changing the speed from slow to fast and medium but the attack animation is still the same speed. I tried also changing the speed entry in the esp but no change. I have added some difficulty mods and i have changed the damage to be a bit under the sledge but i wanted to make it a medium speed to balance it out and or add better critical damage etc, but no luck so far on actually getting the speed of the swing animation to be faster, any help on what to actually change in fo4edit to achieve this is appreciated, Also adding armor penetration and/or bleed on hit i think could work with this weapon. thx for the mod

also i tried to load the nif in nifskope to change the size a bit as i feel its a bit to big, but nifskope fails to load it for some reason. again thx in advance for any help and have good day

Sorry, don't check the nexus as often recently.

As for the weapon speed, I don't use Fo4E. I use the official creation kit tools, and they provided all the tools necessary to modify speed and animations. I'd suggest looking into that or trying to find some really obscure tutorial for Fo4E.

As for your question about using nifskope to open the file and edit it:
I got out of bed at like 12:30 and checked the mesh in nifskope - It seems fine to me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbB7zRjNmEM

Maybe make sure you have the latest version of nifskope when you're opening the file? Other than that I honestly don't know what your problem is without seeing it.

Haven't put any thought to it, but if you show some examples and it looks cool enough I might look into putting it into the game.

This thing is HUGE btw, the real Tyrolean is only about 4'6. Nice mod, though, it's going into my next mod weekly.

Yeah, I've been attempting to re-scale this sword to be closer to the sword I modeled it off of. Top to bottom the sword would have been 55". unfortunately the scaling of objects in this game are odd, so I ended up re-scaling it based off of the size of cue balls that i just stacked on top of each other since if the scaling is correct a cue ball is 6" in diameter.

Well, you made it roughly exactly the same height as a character, so it's still of a historically accurate zweihänder length.

For anyone who notices, I accidentally left weapon mods in. The weapon is able to have spikes coming out of the handle because I directly edited the Board weapon to make this. This will be fixed in the next patch.

Just call it a re-skinned William Wallace claymore for those of us who don't watch GOT.

THe name is from the manufacturer, Albion, and refers to the historical Tyrolean Landsknechts, german knights, who earned double pay to use these weapons against enemy pike formations.

It has nothing to do with Wallace (who lived prior to the invention of spadone/montante/zweihanders/"claymore".

It is not Ice from game of thrones.

It is a reproduction of a museum piece.

I think he mistook Tyrolean for Tyrion, which he vaguely remembered was a GoT character. Tyrion is the dwarf, dude.
