1.1: - Support for non-QWERTY keyboards. - Support for non-WASD keyboard control schemes. - Support for Alt-modified keys for non-English languages. - Fixed issue with not being able to access the Journal sidebar menu while seated on furniture. - Fixed issue with some users not being able to open Journal after installation. (Journal metadata not loaded error) - Support for read-only functionality while a gamepad is connected. L/R triggers on a gamepad will now switch pages. (You must still unplug your gamepad to type.)
If updating, simply replace the files - no special upgrade procedure required.
It's a great idea, but I can't get it to work when I'm using Baka Fullscreen Pipboy. The only way I can use the journal is through a terminal, which sucks.
Was thinking "eh, I like RP, but I'm not dedicated enough to write in character. I guess I'll try it."
5k words later I am more attached to this alt start sole survivor than I have been to any of my player characters in the entire Fallout series. 10/10 mod
Downloaded this mod just for the ease of making some in game notes. Ended up keeping an in character journal from the moment I left the vault. It makes me wish that there was a way to share journals with other players just to see what they were like, this is far more fun to do than I'd ever thought it'd be. Only issue; I'm unable to scroll down pages due to my laptop having pg up and pg down keys shared with the arrow keys, so I'm only able to keep one page entries, continuing long entries on another page. Other than that I'm diggin' it.
i would look to see if you have a button on your laptop Fn somewhere, if you do you might be able to set it up to only page up and down when that button is pressed.
You know what? I have about 100, or 120 logs of which some have 40-60 pages. Some even more. Instead of few game notes, I created massive roleplay story of Enclave agent deployed in Boston. On the other hand, this mod have one big disadvantage. I do not want replay Fallout. Dont want start it again. Because I dont want lost my novel. :D
What I did was use snipping tool to screenshot all of the entries, then used text actions to extract the text in the images, putting them into a word document. I didn't think I'd want to do this initially but like you my entries became so detailed that I wanted to preserve them outside of the game.
Just wanted to share that I've been using this as my real-life personal journal/diary where I write down my thoughts and feelings, helps me deal with my mental issues. I like it because nobody else can find or see it but me. Thanks a lot for this.
FPS players - Microsoft Word. They want access to things they can repeat and exploit. RP players - Jotss - whatever they experience is pertinent only to that character and no other. ----- Nothing drove this home more than a few mods in Skyrim which allowed me to both document and map an entire mining route throughout Skyrim. Nobody would want that except for a character built to leverage mining in the first place - and it's not like I planned on repeating that process.

This fixed the issue of the mod not working for me.
