Thank you for this mod. I'm not sure why people who don't want to use this mod feel the need to express their opinion instead of just moving on, but know that you're truly appreciated for what you released.
While I can understand that cigarettes are disgusting, and not wanting to see them, and commend the mod maker for quitting smoking. Fallout would seem kind of out of place to me, as smoking was a big part of what the 50's was, and that's what this game was based on. I don't smoke, but I sometimes roleplay a character that does. I'm an odd duck in that I despise cigarettes, but find women who are smoking to be somehow attractive XD Don't ask me why, I'm just strange.
I've never installed this game before because cigarettes sicken me too much for me to willingly see them anywhere. I've contemplated getting someone to make a mod exactly like you've made here. I appreciate your work, excellent job.
Drat, I still don't really want to play this game, Fallout New Vegas is more reasonable for my rig. Kind modder Damanacus, by any chance were you considering extending your life saving No Smoking modifications to New Vegas too? That would be really rad, in case you were.
Does this mod work on companions? I downloaded it in an attempt to fix the chain smoking glitch on Cait. Wouldn't mind it so much if when she pulled the cigarette out of her mouth it wouldn't sit at a 45 degree angle out of her wrist. Anyway, hasn't stopped her from smoking so don't know if it is supposed to stop that and I just installed it wrong or if it doesn't work on companions.
NVM, after some research, looks like certain spots will trigger smoking no matter what . . . as you said earlier. Looks like My only solution is to focus on markers and/or animations.
I've been looking for this for ages! I really wanted a mod like this because I just recently found out that Piper (my favorite companion beside Nick) smokes. It just annoyed me. Now my settlements can be free of the smell of tobacco. Thanks!

Thank you Xuphoria, As a recovering nicotine addict all the tobacco use in this game was really bugging me. I can't believe Bethesda really needs the tobacco lobby's money these days. Shame on them.
The excessive smoking in the game is to replicate the era in history when everyone and their grandma was smoking. They did make it go a bit further but if you look at the Fallout lore it was a fucked up world before the bombs fell. Nuclear war on the horizon, mass corporate corruption, and the high stress surrounding a lot of the jobs no wonder they all smoked a pack a day. Oh and security robots that could turn on you for forgetting your work ID badge at every major, and a decent amount of minor, locations in Boston.
I just requested this in the forums after trying to make it myself. But, here's your mod. I failed on mine and well, yours doesn't work for me either. I decided to quit smoking, but the game is making it hard. lol
