Like it. Edited the values to suit my game. All body parts down to 0.25, but headshots up to 5.0. Because, hey, a headshot should pretty much one shot most living things and I like the challenge of trying to get them whilst they sponge up my missed shots to the body.

does this work for overhaul mods that changes npc, like raider overhaul and super mutant redux.

just want to balance it a bit, so the 5x headshot sounds reasonable.

Yes it works fine with any mod, it just changes a few values that tell how much damage to do to each body part on each creature type (human, ghoul, mutant) I actually have a custom version that does more headshot damage to humans and ghouls, but not as much to supermutants. Just load it after those mods to have these values stick.

Bumping so people can see mod author's answer to comparability.

Thanks for the brutal version btw.

Love this mod. Combined with Unbogus Health Scaling it makes combat in Fallout 4 very different and so much more enjoyable with just a few changes.

Just note you may very well get one-shot at times, as well, hehe...

Holy hell, this mod is actually insane on paper...

so my problem with limbs not EVER being crippled (since enemies will just die before they're disabled), is actually solved by this mod? Will they take the same amount of "limb damage" despite it doing less to their HP pool?

I wanted to use BLD at first but it changes way too much and my mod list might not fare well with the performance hit during intense combat.

I was having the same issue because I run with more damage overall (by and to PC). Which meant if I shot a limb, it usually just killed the npc.

So, what I found was, tweaking the numbers a bit yielded more cripples, and less outright deaths. To limbs:
Give a harsh Damage Mult (like 0.3)
A very low Health Percent (like 5%)

This means that the limb only has 5% of the total npc health (so if it had 100 health, its limb only has 5), and with the multiplier low, it makes your shot do less damage overall to the npc, but just enough to harm the limb in one/two shots. The effect is, cripples more, with less outright deaths.

Now, to have some fun, I adjusted Ghouls differently to have very fragile limbs, with 100% "Non-Lethal Dismemberment"... and almost no cripple (just high severing/explosion chances). This causes them to lose arms and legs easily yet still try to come after you as they are nowhere near dead yet. The effect is quite staggering when a swam of them come at you and you have explosive bullets. You end up with a lot of crawling and wiggling bodies on the ground trying to bite and grab you. You end up just throwing grenades on them and blowing the mess up. (compounded if you have True Storms and enabled Ghoul Swarms lol!)

Lastly, I added in Protectrons having arms in the same way (can shoot them off in 2 shots without killing the whole unit outright), since if you manage to blow off their arms, they go into overload/detonation. Which is hella fun to do =D

Anyhow this mod was the groundwork for my fiddling, so I give full endorsement to this mod for being a clean and direct. Didn't change other junk, didnt break things.

Thanks for this! Technically speaking, the thigh has a huge artery (the femoral) which can cause a person to bleed out in less than a minute if severely damaged, so I think the leg damage should be a bit higher, but honestly, this isn't Surgery Simulator 4, so this is a minor gripe, lol.

If you guys feel that headshots are still to weak you can change them to be 6x in FO4 edit
