This looks like it's been updated but I can't find any mention of what's been changed...

Uninstalled this mod via NMM and it caused a CTD every time I try to load a save file with this mod previously enabled. Is there a way to prevent CTD? My character doesn't even have a Gauss Rifle in inventory.

F4SGE doesn't work it only mess up my game. Tried deleted all entry except file header in the esp using FO4Edit, saved then load the game works file. But when disabling this mod completely my save game just CTD everytime I try to load it.

Hmm. Not sure why you would get a CTD on this... Maybe NMM isn't removing the sound file too?

Look for the following file and delete it if it still exists and see if you can't get your save to work.

      C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\Sound\fx\wpn\riflegauss\WPN_RifleGauss_Charge_LPM.wav

Did you use any other weapon mods that altered the Gauss rifle? this mod may have wiped out that mods files. Try reloading any other gauss weapon mods.

NMM removed all sound files completely when uninstalling, no I am not using any other gauss rifle mod at that point. Anyway I will just continue to use this mod(still the best gauss rifle mod), just uninstalling to try out something else no big problem thanks for the help

I finally ran into this myself after having unloaded all mods. Once I picked up a gauss rifle, charged it up and fired it once the sound loop went away.

Tried this and the fix suggested by MithelCelestia, neither one worked... makes me regret even downloading this mod.

Uninstalling the mod seems to still cause the gun to charge itself. So I guess I'm stuck with the mod until I start a new game or return to an old save.

EDIT: I Think I might've "fixed" it by dropping the Gauss Gun before uninstalling. And if the charging sound still plays just charge the gun then holster it without firing.

This change makes the most sense for this gun. Who waits until you pull the trigger to let the gun charge up?

I loved this in Fallout 4. Is there any way you can make it for Fallout 76?

This seems really cool, unfortunately the 2LM patch seems outdated. Regular Gauss rifles recharge fine, but 2LM ones dont, so I guess I'll have to choose unless I figure out why. Thanks anyhow!

Edit: tried to fix it with FO4Edit myself but something went wrong when that patch was made, I kinda doubt it ever worked at all TBH. Your version of GaussRifle2 is missing both the key extra legendary line from 2LM and several of the changes you made to the vanilla Gauss rifle.

Edit2: Yay, I managed to make it work! Not with a patch though, I just changed the same lines you did in the 2LM file itself and kept only the audio part of your mod, so far so good. Learned a bit about the tool too.
