I have updated this mod and created a Danse Dilemma compatible ESP Through my limited testing, they work in tandem (See Images for a dialogue screenshot) BE SURE THIS ESP IS LOADED AFTER DANSE DILEMMA
Remember, to read the noted existing issues and how-to's. There are limits to my mod, and conflicts can occur if you have mods that change the scripts I edited. Do not dismiss him to or near BoS territory. Not advised to enable this ESP while he's your companion (it could bug out). If he's dismissed to BoS territory before this is enabled, they will likely attack him. If this happens, flee with him, and wait inside somewhere safe for 3 days. (That is how long it takes for a crime to be forgiven.)
No, I don't care about your "lore" and "RPG". Mods are optional, and the way people choose to play FO4 does not affect you. I have already explained my reasoning for wanting him to not be attacked (such as being disguised, etc). You are free to move along. If I knew how to make an actual Disguise mod, I would have, but I'm not particularly savvy in that department.
I have made it to where Danse will no longer be attacked by the Brotherhood after you dismiss him. This took a shamefully large amount of time of digging, tonight, in the CK, to figure out what bridge of scripts did this.
But, through trial and error, (lots of error), I finally did it. (Hopefully) You can download the new ESPs, so please, follow normal activating procedures and enjoy!

I have been notified that the most recent update to Fallout 4 has broken this mod. I have created a new version that should be compatible with the newest Bethesda Update to Fallout 4. The recent update added a new script to the majority of NPCs, including Danse, so this caused my mod to become incompatible.
PLEASE, DOWNLOAD THE NEW FILE IF YOU HAVE BEEN USING THE PREVIOUS VERSION! YOU WILL HAVE TO DELETE THE OLD ESP FILE! AS THIS IS A COMPLETELY NEW ONE. ALSO, PLEASE, WAIT THREE DAYS IF THE BOS ARE ATTACKING YOU. THAT IS THE AMOUNT OF TIME IT TAKES TO FORGIVE A CRIME. AND ENABLING THE NEW ESP MAY ADD THE TEMPORARY CRIME SCRIPT. THUS REQUIRING 3 DAYS OF WAITING. YOU MAY HAVE TO DISMISS DANSE BEFORE ENABLING THIS ESP. DISMISS HIM, SAVE, QUIT, ENABLE ESP, THEN START UP GAME AND RECRUIT HIM AS NORMAL.

Thx for mod! Also "HUD Targeting Mod" give more bugs normaly... They cause some bugs during affinity calculations and thts broke usualy some quests like "Diamond City Blues" etc. So relax- it normal. Btw, can u make same mod for Deacon- i think he lied about loyality? such liar PS u tried use "faceripper"(or same) to make vanila face preset in esp file?
Just letting you know, I have posted a new version of this mod that fully removes the BoS hostility towards Danse. So he can now be dismissed around Brotherhood of Steel members! As for your question on Face Ripper, I have not used that? The preset fix is locked only inside the Creation Kit, by ticking the option, so no outside program was used.
He should have his normal Vanilla Face, as he was ticked to be IsCharGenPreset fixed.
I can look into doing the hostility removal for Deacon, and X6-88, though I'm unsure if I can do this, I will look and try.

X6-88 ll be hostile only if make munitsman questline, as i remember- if u destroy institute by BoS or RR questline they have no reaction...
I think if you use faceripper, it should work with the No Preset Lock version? This esp would have to be under any ESP that changes Danse, but I can't guarantee it will work.
In regards to X6; Someone asked for X6 to be friendly, I assume perhaps this is if you go the Railroad route.

Update; Been going through Deacon's scripts. I am unsure if I can actually make him friendly if you destroy the Railroad. Because to make the changes take affect he needs to be your companion, dismissed, and recruited. But, when you fight the railroad, you lose that option for him. So, the only way I could see this working is if you use the script edit before losing him as a companion. But, then that might conflict with the actual story line, quest, and him.
I don't think it could work, but I'll keep looking for a way around, though I doubt it would work. Would probably require a new version of Deacon, a recruitable version of him, with no crime scripts, but that's something I don't think I could even fathom doing. :/
Update [2024-05-05]; Bethesda Updated FO4, and I haven't played FO4 in years, so I'll have to redownload everything to update (or remake this mod), then playtest it to ensure its functional. As it stands in its non-updated state, I don't know if it is.
I'm still using the prior version of this mod, but I'd like to know -exactly- what you mean when you say you're only sticking with the Vanilla face version, I ask this because your archived versions of this mod were for "no preset fix", "preset fix", and "clean face".
I remember quite well that you pointed out that somewhere along the line, that Danse's facegen changed and your mod at the time addressed the issue, so I'm just curious to know if that is fixed in the latest version or not.
I'd also love to know! I want to use this mod so I can continue to use Danse as a companion, but I'm also using a Danse face mod (Dauntless Danse). So right now it seems like I have to pick one or the other?
Update - I did get it to work! It requires having Looksmenu installed, but it does work (so far...I'm standing in front of Boston Airport with him and no aggro so I'm assuming it's working). Here is what I did, specifically for Dauntless Danse (not sure if it will work for other custom Danse appearances, but I'm assuming it will)(On second thought, it probably won't work for any character mods that use things like custom meshes or skins...because you'll be uninstalling them. Dauntless Danse only uses vanilla assets and then assets from some hair mods and the Looksmenu Compendium...things that it will still be able to reference when saving the Looksmenu preset.)
Complete Blind Betrayal and go back to Listening Post Bravo. (Dauntless Danse .esp is still active as the last plugin in the load order.) Use console to pull up Looksmenu for Danse (You might need to tell him to stand still.) Save preset Load preset Save character (Dauntless Danse appearance should still be visible, but you've now saved over it with the new character preset.) Save game and exit (Danse should be dismissed at this point.) Uninstall Dauntless Danse and make sure plugin is no longer active (I use Vortex, not sure about MO2.) Install most recent version of NoBoSHostility (This should be the last plugin in your load order.) Load Game (Dauntess Danse appearance should still be visible because the game is using the Looksmenu preset and not the mod.) Tell Danse to follow (You should not get the 'enemies' pop up.) Test!
As a note, I am using the 'Next Gen' version of the game with the recently updated Looksmenu and F4SE.
This is not a bug or anything but this mod stopped working when used with mods that alters Danse's face. It's fine on it own but it would be great if it work with other Danse mods :)
I CANNOT get this mod to work anymore. I've always used it in previous playthroughs, but since doing a fresh install since the update it just won't work for me.
I have used it with Danse Dilema and without it. Load order was correct. Used both versions. Enabled/Disabled over and over again. Slept/waited for days. Nothing is making it work.
EDIT: I'm an idiot. I moved the plugin in NMM to practically the end of my load order and categorised it into the 'Dynamic Patches' group so that it would be practically one of the last mods applied. Boom, Presto, it worked!
Sure, I just brought the old v2 out of archive The new v3 should, in theory, work for the previous-gen, but in the event that it doesn't, the v2 is now available.
Err with caution, as I can't play-test the old file
Additionally, I should note, the old v2 will not have a Danse Dilemma patch option
Hi there! This mod works perfectly, except that Danse sometimes is bugging in random places and he's not always follows me. Anyway:Before installing mod I had max affinity with Danse and he was "in love" with me. After installing with following instructions, my affinity is now 0.00 with him, although I have still special perk when reaching max affinity, and there's pillow talks of course. But I don't understand why affinity is neutral. Even though I make action he likes and loves, it didn't add higher his affinity. Is this bug because of this mod? Thanks in advance!

I always hated how the other factions get to have a "faction companion" but you don't get to keep yours as a BoS aligned char.
