All features work except the saving. Using current up to date Steam version. Only other mod I am using that even effects survival difficulty is a damage rebalancer. EDIT: Though it doesn't use the auto save or quick save feature, or allow me to save via console command, it will create exit saves. Got them all but the beer pin. Good enough for the time being I suppose. Turns out it does let me save via console command, but for some reason the save doesn't appear until I close the game and open again. Sorry!
Eh it seems that a lot of people cant get the mod to work. I would suggest just deleting the mod until it actually works. Not being mean but no use having 120+ posts of just "it doesnt work". Good effort but sadly it doesnt work man.
Downloaded with NMM, i don't have the HC_edited.txt file to copy, so i installed and run the game, console works fine but rest doesn't work. What gives?
The author of the mod had a little edit at the bottom of the description page that is really easy to miss if you aren't lookin' for it.
"A small edit, sadly I haven't figured out how to get the NMM to install files based on zip directory structure... so a small modification was made. Thanks for all of the feedback!" -akigirokytori
As for the "how to"
you gotta download manually and open the rar file then copy paste hc_edited.txt from the rar file to your Fallout 4 directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4 boot up the game and load up your save then hit " ~ " then type in "bat hc_edited" (without quotes)
Although some assets do not work such as the autosave feature, I haven't tested the fast travel yet. Best bet is downloading Gopher's Quicksave mod here: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12593/?
Thanks Negima, I was having the same issue but your thing fixed it. Although now when I do fast travel my companion just kind of dissapears. Any clue for that one? If not I can always just teleport him to me by console command I think
EDIT: Never mind, for some reason no matter how many times I tell codworth to follow me he just leaves and refuses to act like a companion.
Kyogon I know the response is late, but maybe it will still help you, or someone else. Open your fallout4.ini go down to [General] and this line sStartingConsoleCommand=bat HC_edited
I believe you can create multiple lines for multiple console commands or bat files that you want inputted at startup.
