After learning thing a bit more be seeing code and esp, the first thing to know is the player template id 7 is overrided by this mod... And consequently add conflict with a lot of mods that also change player. The first one in conflict with my load order is follower revive system. For other user, it probably also conflict with mods like unique player.
This mod need to be entirely rewritten in a more logic way. Like using a spell instead overwriting the player, and 2 containers by example. 1 for casual, 1 for combat and switch the outfits from/to the corresponding container when weapon is draw.
Thanks for this I have been using outfit switcher but have been looking for something that keeps companions in sync. This is just the thing.
The first time I used it, Piper's clothes ended up in Dogmeat's inventory so you do need to have only a single companion when you do the set up - I have unlimited Companion Framework running.
The only problem I get is after changing mods around i.e installing a new one or running loot. Then the config seems to get lost and I have to set it up again.
Is there a config file I can back up and restore to get round this?
Hi unfortunately I don't think so. I run into the same problem and I know it's annoying.
The mod works by keeping track of the unique IDs of items. For some reason, changing mods can change these IDs and I don't know anyway of avoiding this...
I think the mod forgot / confuse to reset his data armor / clothes when you want to just update companion clothes because when I set companion and me nude first then change the clothe on me before tranfer to the companion the mod also tranfer armor previous parts lol... yeah... An option to reset the clothes / armor data seem necessary
Once it's set up on a character, this mod is truly useful. The problem is, though, that setting it up is at best extremely unreliable. And getting it to work on companions is, in my experience, absolutely impossible.
Configure your own battle/casual outfit before trying to set up your companion outfits, they won't work until you do. This mod does not seem to play nice with other armor/clothing/outfit mods, Some work, some don't. unsupported mod items will be unequipped but not re-equipped.
simplyletgo, are you still supporting this? I was really looking forward to this, and just tried it, and I'm having some serious issues. When I try to set the companion outfit, it does not take their inventory. Tried releasing my companion, getting another, didn't work. Tried taking their inventory first, then setting it up and giving the inventory back to them, didn't work. I'll keep working on it, but I'm hoping you're still keeping an eye on this.
This is the last thing in my load order. I do not have a multiple companion mod, other than Everyone's Best Friend. And I have Companions Go Home.
Also, on me, it only works on a small number of items. Doesn't work on items from The Rebel/Mercenary, or on several vanilla armors. But it does work on some things. ??
Do you know if Concealed Armor or More Armor Slots would mess this up, perhaps?
I really hope I can get this to work, great mod idea and very impressive. I am dying for my companions to be able to unequip their weapon-on-back apparels when we they draw their gun. But as it is, it isn't working on my companion at all, and not working very well on me.
Also, in case I do get it to work- is there a way to turn off the switching? I tried dropping the tape, tried resetting the selections and unequipping, but it still switches those two/three things when I draw my weapon. Definitely would like to be able to just switch this off when I don't want it to happen. (Also, in case I have to- anything special need to be done to uninstall?)
Really hope you're there and I can sort this out, this is a fantastic mod I'd really like to use.
