Bodyslide Morphs will now update normals/tangents/bitangents, this is at the expense of processing power so morphs are applied slightly slower than they used to be. In addition, full-precision meshes are now supported for morphing.
BodyGen is now functional similar to the RaceMenu feature, the only difference is where the files go, see file description for how BodyGen works.
Did LooksMenu still function properly after the Fallout 4 Next Gen update was released? P.S. I installed F4SE version: Mod Developer Test F4SE for the Next Gen update.
Just for dummies out there (like me); you might want to tell folk the folder of location to drop these files in. I'm assuming it goes in the /data/ folder right?
No sir, that's a very outdated and risky way of handling mods. I would suggest searching for a Fallout 4 modding guide on google or youtube, you will want to download a mod manager such as 'Vortex' (made by Nexusmods) so that you aren't modifying the game files directly. (that's how you break your game and end up having to reinstall from scratch)
Edit for you original question: once you have Vortex installed you can just click the 'mod manager download' button on the files tab of each mod you want and it will send it to your mod manager.
f*#@ what oPARADOXo is saying you'll waste more time trying to learn how the fucking software works than its worth. If you mod tons of games with fucktons of mods, the mod managers are useful. If your playing one game with a couple mods, then just drop the mods in the folders manually and call it a day.
Drop that s#*! in your data folder: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data
If you have issues accessing the looksmenu, add the text: "LooksMenu.esp" to the plugin text file. (Exclude the actual ") C:\Users\*\AppData\Local\Fallout4\Plugins.txt
If you are too lazy to learn MO2, which is valid, do yourself a favor and just use Vortex mod manager.
Mod managers make your life easier and show you conflicts, which are important so that you know what is running and overriding what, and allows for proper mod conflict resolution. Lots of mods override the same or similar files.
The gent telling you to skip mod manager's is an idiot.
I'll try.. I hope someone can answer meI have a problem with the looksmenu
I don't know where to start ok..... I'm a mod creator meaning I create custom races, every time I create a custom race and open the looksmenu I save the preset!.
I load my preset Nora's face comes out help??
I don't know what's happening I hope I was clear :)
Is it possible for me to use the bodygen to create random bodies to be assigned to NPCs but also have a different BodySlide preset for clothed and unclothed bodies? I have presets for each body type that I want to be slightly randomized and added to the world but I also have two different versions of each body type, one for unclothed that is normal and one for clothed that draws in the boobs slightly and smooths out the nipples to give the feel that the boobs are being somewhat constrained by the clothing and give it a more realistic look. Anyway, can I possibly integrate the two different sets of presets with BodyGen so that characters use the clothed fitting outfits when not nude but still keep the nude preset when they don't have clothes?
Not yet, even F4SE is still working on updates. They have a version of F4SE available here on Nexus if you are a modder but I would not recommend using it unless you are a modder yourself until it's ready for regular release.
I use MO2 so if you use Vortex I wont be able to help much. This is what worked for me. I manually installed this mod, dragging the contents into my game directory which looks something like ""C:\Steam Library 2\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data" yours might look a bit different, but just drag everything into the data folder. Then, in order for the Presets and Sliders menu to show up, along with all the face categories, you need to install this mod. I also installed it manually, just because Ive been having issues with loading these mods through MO2, in general though you shouldnt really manually install anything.
Just drag the contents of the mod mentioned above into the Data folder again, in MO2 itll show the mods as unmanaged, thats fine, make sure the .esp files are ticked on the right window just in case, then load the game through F4SE and you should be good.
To bring up the console to actually edit the character, I think for most people it should be the ~ key, for me its the ' key (no idea why), but once its up just type "slm 14" without the ", this will allow you to edit your player character and everything should be there. Then you can go on to install presets which is pretty straightforward using the mod manager.
Im honestly not sure why there arent any solid install instructions in the description, but hopefully this helps someone and prevents you needing to scroll through 8k comments to figure it out.
EDIT: I thought I should also mention that I tested this on a save after you leave the vault, Im not sure whether this will work if you try to do it at the start of the game at the mirror, either way you could do what I did and just install a save game file out of the vault, and edit your character from there!
I have a problem. When I enter slm 14, the camera doesn't move towards the character like at the beginning of the game, the camera stays where it was. I have seen in Youtobe videos that with the slm command the camera moves towards the character. Is this a bug or a setting issue? can it be fixed?
