Postal Delivery Service

Features :
Adds postal delivery service to the commonwealth.
Build private mailboxes to any of your settlements and for a small fee send item package from any of the commonwealth mailboxes.
(The private mailboxes are located under Resource >> Miscellaneous in the workshop building menu)

How it Works :
- You need to build a private mailbox to a settlement (you can build only 1 mailbox / settlements and as many as you have settlements)

- You need to locate a commonwealth's "Blue Mailbox"  like shown in the screenshots Only the commonwealth's original "Blue Mailbox" will work for example the one you can build with Homemaker won't work since it got a different base ID

-When you target the "Blue Mailbox" it will look like:
[A]Take [X]Transfer [Y]Send Package

-Press the correct button and a trading menu will appear, place any object you want to send in the "Package" section of the trading menu there is no Limit in the quantity of items you can send.

-Once you done close the trading menu, a new menu menu will open choose the destination of your package and validate. (Note that all your settlements will appear in this menu whether it has a Private Mailbox or not, At time I can't find a way to filter the content of this menu)

-When you validate the destination of your package and if there is a Private Mailbox at this destination (if not all the items in your
package will be added back to your inventory) you will get a menu asking you to pay the delivery fee.
The fee is
0.05 Caps / ammo
2 Caps / weapons
1 Caps / armor
0.2 Caps / other items
rounded to superior integer (For example your package contains 17 cigarettes , 2 Minigun and2 Duct tapes the fee will be 1 *1 + 19*0.2 = 7.8 rounded to 8)
Note that the check on item type can only be done (for now) with keywords attached to the items, meaning that if an armor misses the keyword objectTypeArmor then it won't be recognized as an armor and will be treated as other items.

-Once you paid the fee, the package will be sent instantly to the selected settlement if you refuse to pay the fee, all the items in the package will be added back to your inventory

There is No limit of time or quantity of item you can send (except for your caps)

What's New :
Version 9.0
Conquest Users : I tried another type of check for the receiving mailboxes it should  will make conquest settlements available for mail sending. In order to get it work you must scrap then rebuild the private mailboxes in conquest settlements

Version 7.0
A Postman NPC will pickup your package. If you want to disable that option use the Postal Delivery Service Holotape

Version 5.0

Added a compatibility script for Locksmith WITHOUT adding it as master
If the Immersion Level is set to 0 then "Blue Mailboxes" won't be managed by Locksmith anymore.

Version 4.0
You can now build package sending mailbox to your settlements (one per settlements)
There is now an immersion level configuration available (you will receive a configuration holotape when loading the game)

  • Level 0 :
    • You can send package from any commonwealth mailboxes and settlement-built deposit mailboxes.
  • Level 1 :
    • You can only send package from settlement-built deposit mailboxes.
  • Level 2 :
    •  You can only send package from settlement-built deposit mailboxes.
    • The deposit and destination locations must have a valid provisioning route to send package.

ForceMod Option :
if you encounter difficulties with the mod not working and followed the "How it Works" you can type this in the console :

set PDSForceMod to 1.0

This will enable the force mod, then build a NEW mail box in one of your settlement.
