For some reason this mod isn't working for me as of 2022. Any time I attack either of them they just fall to the ground like they're wounded and waiting for recovery/stimpak. Which is odd because I had apparently found a way to kill Marcy in another save in the last couple years or so.. but the setessential 0 console command won't work on her (which I'm pretty sure is what I had used), as it say's it's invalid.
Any ideas?
EDIT: Apparently I was using the wrong ID for her in the console command (her form ID is the one to use 00019fdc, not the 000184da ref ID you get when clicking her in console). However, the mod itself still doesn't do this, but the console command can be used as a workaround to make her non-essential, and as far as I can tell no one attacks you either when you kill her this way.
I personally put Jun to potato peeling chore (aka gardening) at Sanctuary. As for Sweet Marcy, i use her as a provisioner between Sanctuary and a random settlement at the other end of the map, so I no longer have to cope with her toxic personality any longer.
I wish Bethesda had a quest to help Jun Long the way they had for Travis in Diamond City. I honestly feel so bad for him and wish there was a quest to help him become happier. Marcy is immediately hostile towards everyone so I don't care for her at all, and this mod works great for disposing of her.
There's another mod the changes them into cats and I almost installed it, I was waiting on a dlc to come out that had a option to have revenge on those two or a mission where they where kidnapped and then you rescued them and they where grateful to you and showed gratitude and Marcy offered you her head on a stick!..
I have to wonder what in the hell Bethesda was thinking when they made these characters. The LAST thing a player wants after heroically saving anyone is to be greeted with endless bitching about how they didn't do enough, or that the free home, free food and water, free shelter, free beds, security, etc. are all eternally taken for granted in favor of being.. stupid? And what were they thinking with Preston and the Minute Men faction in general. Why does the player literally have to do all the work? Why did they half-ass the entire settlement process? I loathe going near concord simply because I can't stand these NPC's. At least now I can just get rid of them. Thank you.
