I don't know if you still read this, but this mod actually has a really bad bug; The bug is that if you try hitting someone close in vats with a melee weapon, your weapon does almost no damage against the enemy, I don't know what causes this, and there might not even be a fix for this, which is sad because this mod is actually really nice yet underrated as hell.
And also, is it ok if you can tell me how much range is specifically increased in this mod? So I know if the mod isn't bugged out with the range or something too
Same issue for me. Looks like something with how the mod adds the extra damage for longer-ranged attacks also decreases the damage for close attacks. I would have liked this mod too if this bug didn't happen. Ah well, back to the normal two ranks of Blitz instead.
Edit: I did some more searching and reading after first posting this comment. According to the wiki, even vanilla Blitz has an issue where "being especially close to the melee target in VATS can result in a significant reduction in damage" so it looks like it might not be a direct issue with this mod, but the increase in range does exaggerate the problem to make it even worse.
The mod "Blitz Ridiculous Range" (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/24298) doesn't seem to have that issue, however I don't think it scales damage over long distances, either.
Highly underrated mod wish, I found this sooner! I just got back into fallout as of 10/21/2018 and I feel this is a must if you like FO4s melee combat atleast as an optional side piece if not spamming VATS across the map at mofos like me xd!
Great mod! Thank you so much! I hate the original Blitz, the range so short that i have to move one step, check Vats and repeat untill the enemy in range, been waiting for so long for someone make a change for Blitz. Blitz should be like this in the first place ! Now I can target my enemy so far away that i can't even see them (Just press Vats button in the middle of nowhere and boom there 're enemy in range). And about the bug you mentioned "that your character will very rarely stay in place but still do damage to the target as if you were right next to him/her.", it also happened before i install your mod so maybe it is the game bug not your mod.
Yah it sucked having to inch forward since the max distance always seemed to change depending on where you are. Now I know it will hit! So thank you very much. Also, the "character staying in place" thing is a bug from the base game perk itself. I believe it has something to do with the theoretical "path" you would take while traveling the distance and if there's something in the way or you don't have room to appear near them it happens.
Well, to be honest, if you evolve your character into max agility it would make sense that he or she would be far faster than everyone else, so this mod thinks into rigth direction.

EDIT:
It's a listed bug on the wiki page
