I really wanna download this mod. cept some of the modded weapons i use need me to have up to level 5 commando or level 5 rifleman in order to upgrade them. Any chance you could add just 2 more ranks to rifleman and commando? they dont even have to do anything honestly just need them there to satisfy the requirements

I found that an alternative to using the optional Nukaworld file is to instead use

    https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/42573?tab=files&file_id=172621

This also fixes the issue caused by the main file (not being able to mod nuka world weapons), however it also strips out other armor mod requirements such as pick pocketing. This file instead makes modding of weapons and armor in nukaworld just dependent on black smithing armor smithing and science.

sadly it makes it impossible to craft some of the Handmade rifle modification in nuka world so I'm, going to uninstall it :/

I'm sure you've moved on, but i'm replying mostly for anyone else who looks at this page. I added a Nuka World patch that removes the Commando & Rifleman requirements for crafting the raider rifle items.

I really want to use this as I hate sticking with pistols only, but my biggest issue is that your Rifleman range bonus is maxed out at only 35%, whereas you get 50% pistol range with vanilla gunslinger perk.
Why not just make it 3 ranks that give 10% AP and 20% range each?

could you make a patch for Perks without Special?
that mod breaks this mod when i use both.

anyway great mod. it makes the game more fun by removing the "oh what weapon will i use this playthrough?" crud.

    thank you for making it.

Any word on a Far Harbor-compatible patch? It seems that this mod may have broken Lone Wanderer thanks to the new ranks to some perks that Far Harbor brings.

I'm certain that none of the perks I edited were changed in Far Harbor. You might be experiencing a conflict with different mods.

Pretty cool mod, I agree that the vanilla perks are flawed in how they streamline you into using just the same few weapons most of your playthrough. The game is much more interesting when you can pull out a rocket launcher for a tough battle or something but suddenly awful when you find out that your pistol does as much damage as the rocket because of perks.

I'd like to see this expanded on more, do you have any intentions to do so? I imagine a lot more perk overhauls will be popping up soon too so I worry about this being obsolete pretty quickly.

Things like gun bashing, melee damage (why are these even separate?) heavy weapons, and explosives (why do some weapons get counted as both?) I can see issues with, but I don't really know how to improve those.

The only specific idea I have is that gun bashing should be lower in the Strength tree because gun bashes are melee attacks for people who don't specialize in melee.
