Pls help My vertibird Everywhere I go, it's constantly being destroyed. If I move fast without Vertibird somewhere else, I can see that the plane has been destroyed And if this problem happens, My vertibird Controler can't be recognized any vertibird
I use Better Vertibirds to increase the damage resistance of all vanilla Vertibirds, and Better Vertibird Miniguns to increase the damage output and reduce spread of all vanilla Vertibirds, then place these lower in your load order so that these mods affect your custom Vertibird mod
Curious on the current state of this mod. I see a LOT of bug complaints, and it hasn’t been updated in a while. Also, what paintjobs are available? Couldn’t find pictures of the options, and the description section was a bit bare-boned. So, what’s the verdict? Stable and amazing mod, buggy mess unsuitable for heavily modded games abandoned by the author, somewhere in between? Starting a VERY heavily modded Brotherhood play through, and a personal Vertibird would be a pretty awesome addition!
I think this mod was great a year ago but the more the game is updated the more things seem to break. I have given up on the mod myself as it is too frustrating to deal with the off and on nature of the mod's reliability. Sometimes it works and other times it fails.
The author did a great job but has moved on which is perfectly acceptable as it is unreasonable to expect support for a mod once a modder stops modding/playing a given game.
So far I have had very few issues with this mod. The only real issues I've ever seen is that the weapons and armor are balanced for vanilla, so if you have an overhaul changing either, the 'bird may be either too powerful or (more likely) not powerful enough. Also, sometimes it doesn't want to land when you call it in. This seems to be only really a problem in downtown Boston itself. I use it for conveyance only, so it doesn't affect me much. The textures are derived from the vanilla pre-war 'bird, so anything that changes that changes this one. Functionally it works the same as a vanilla vertibird EXCEPT it stays put when it drops you off (you can tell it to fly off to another base if you wish).
It's working pretty well for me and there really aren't any good alternatives, IMO.
The current state of this mod it`s still with bugs. You can`t save after you use the vertibird, quicksave or save get stuck to infinite save, you have to close the game from task manager...to bad because the mod was fun.
It's been a while.. However, just wanted to throw in that these kind of "bugs" are very much caused by faulty mod setups. Like load order conflicts, incompatibilites and other things like that. Many users are hording a lot of mods without taking care of them being set up properly to work together. Yes, it takes time to get the proper knowledge about modding beth games, and they can be quite unforgiving, if handled wrong. But it's a fact that most of such "bug reports" could be avoided actually, because users blame the mod/authors for their own lack of knowledge. May sound a little harsh, but it's true. No offense though ;)
Btw, the mod is working very well! I just don't know how this one is compared to "Private Vertibirds", as that one is pretty up to date. Anyone who tried it?
I'm currently using Private Vertibirds with no issues whatsoever. This mod looks interesting because of the ability to access pilot inventory, hunting mode, fire support, NPC gunners, front gun choices - all of which Private Vertibirds lacks.
can the mod-other com back and move this file from special to somewhere ells a lot of sim settlement and new mod are using that space move it Bulding whit its own mark because 2019 now and this mod a lot of updates
Not an issue if you are using Settlement Menu manager with Sim Settlements, which you should be. Sim Settlements makes that recommendation really obvious. So I think that keeping the Vertibirds in the Special menu makes perfect sense.

Anyway to get the helipads go snap on top of a play placed object?
Anyway to get the vertibird to fly higher and not through buildings?
Won't work. Have done manual install, Vortex install and every thing in between. Doing it with Vortex I found the first two schematics, but the airport ones were not there. Did what was said to get around that, nothing, re-installed again clicking the no schematics patch, still nothing. Am I missing where you go to build it maybe?

I am hoping to use these in survival once I take the castle - as I feel it something the minute men would do.
