Hey, dof doesn't work in first person power armor, i've installed the "pa no transparency hud" reccommanded mod, but it's still doesn't...
I've even tryed to disable the "lens" in the meshe with nifscope, but still no dof...

Can someone help me? I have a reshade installed and in the McFX file there is dof but there is also ambient occlusion settings. If i replace it with this file it means that i lose AO as well?

A bit late, but you can just change the 0 to 1 in ambient occlusion line, when you open the McFX file.

Love this DOF, though I'm noticing that sometimes, when characters are close to the camera, they are also blurred out. I'm not sure if this is related to the DOF, and if I'm just ignorant I can live with that! If I am just ignorant, do you have suggestions?

Works great otherwise, and I am a big fan of your work!

Thh for the support. I am not sure how to fix this, for me works fine. Look:

Close characters are still sharp, blurred behind them.

I should have clarified that this happens when the game goes to 'Conversation Mode'. I'll take a screenshot the next time I get a chance.

I am glad to hear that this DOF preset works nice for you. I hope someone will create vanilla power armor hud that works fine with this DOF.

I'm pretty sure this Power Armor Transparency mod used to work with my old bokeh DOF McFX file.

      http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/3106/?

But yours seems to not work

I am using the same power armor hud for my screenshots. It works, but you need to use "Version 4 - Weathered - Filled in Armor indicator - added Lens - hide vinette in third person - no elements in third".

    Good idea!
But I want DoF always, I want always hide all ugly LOD's and ugly far buildings. What settings in cfg-file I must change?

No focus, no ugly LODS - DoF always!

And how change (increase +) brightness in cfg files (not in game)? Now too dark settings.

Then try this settings. This DOF blur image in radius of approximately 50m around the player, always, there is no blur only when you focus on some object. See screenshots. For example, the forest image, character is sharp and every tree around him in some radius, after that, everything is blurred. Blure radius is large enough to hide LOD and game still to be playable.

When I look at the far settlement it is in focus and I see all the horrible lods, no houses, etc. I want the blur was always, regardless of the focus.
My hero is nearsighted and cannot see far, more than 50 m. My hero should not be the focus of more than 50 m.
Blur always after 50 m! In Skyrim I have mod DoF (blur always after 50 meters, f*#@ focus!)
And I want to make the picture lighter, much lighter. How do I change the settings in what file, what ?
