Gonna be That Guy: it's "espresso" not "expresso." And it should be "we're here for you" not "were here for you."

Actually, "Were here for you" might not be inappropriate... If you consider (minor spoiler) that the Minutemen are being rebuilt by you to replace the dorks that ruined it in the first place, finding cups around the Commonwealth joking that the Minutemen "were here for you", but sure as heck ain't no more, might be accurate since people haven't had enough time to get to know the new Minutemen yet. Of course, just depends on one's perspective...LOL

By the way, Heirflick, if you use that on a cup, I'll have Nick sue you for trademark infringement. I just had "Were here for you, but sure as heck ain't no more!" trademarked with the Diamond City Mayor's office! :)

(By the way, you could just say, "We are here for you", and get around the entire issue, but you didn't here, I mean hear, that from me...)

Yeah, holy crap...avoiding this until the spelling is fixed. And yes, it matters.

Remember: the people who care are jumpy and agro...they're caffeinated.

      Damn it.

Either spelling is fine, the only difference being if you're borrowing the word from french or italian.

I would like to know that as well. And also if it satiates our thirst a little bit, like Nuka Cola?

Thanks for this, I needed an option that didn't change every coffee cup in the game. I featured this mod in my latest video

Where do you craft it at ?
    What are the ingredients ?
How much does it cost ?
Does it replace anything in the game ?
    Are there any incompatibilities ?
Why aren't the answers to these questions already in the desc ?

    Thank you.

Not sure how coffee increases your strength. I could see maybe intelligence or agility, but not strength.

I hate to be "that guy", but since you are King of the Nerds, why not, right?

Currently, the scientific studies and trials are not clear as to caffeine's direct affects on strength. However, there are quite a lot of studies (Google and you'll find a ton, most of which don't require purchasing if you want to see the original study text) which show an "indirect" correlation with caffeine and strength.

      For example:

      (1) Caffeine has an obvious connection to metabolism. The better you can process complex sugars into energy, the less fatigue you deal with and the more energy you have to apply to strength activities (examples given are varied, but include things like strength interval training).

      (2) Caffeine has an affect on decreasing depression. Depression is tied to fatigue. Less fatigue, more strength.

      (3) Caffeine has been shown to boost aerobic and anaerobic performance. This includes cardiovascular benefits which are widely known now, circulatory benefits, etc. This affects both endurance and strength (although the greater benefit here would be endurance).

Those are just a few examples. There are a lot more you can easily find if interested.

From my perspective, being a geek here for a moment, I would think Intelligence and Endurance would be the primary benefits, with Strength and Agility being close seconds. Then again, one could argue that if your Intelligence is higher and you're more awake, your Charisma would be higher as well.

Lastly, if you've ever had a small cup of Turkish joe and other similar cultural coffees that you can't drink more than a shot glass full at a time, you'd know that the zap you get from that... last time I felt like I could pick up a car with one hand, and then promptly stayed awake for 3 days straight... :)

@yatz But you haven't cited a single scientific study. The burden of proof is on you to provide evidence, it's not on anyone who finds your claims questionable to go on a scavenger hunt for material that refutes your claims.

If people are just citing their own personal experiences, that's not scientifically valid. A person's individual. subjective perceptions are rife with unconscious biases and misconceptions. The reason they have double blind studies is to eliminate the personal biases, conscious and unconscious, as factors to get data that is valid.

Unfortunately, you would be wrong. Age old argument. You've been listening to too many college professors that can't debate worth a crap. The burden of proof lies upon the original claimant, not the opposite (in face, I gave specific things that are easy to look up and confirm, whereas the OP gave nothing but a personal opinion). But nice, wasted try. Not to mention the fact that most of you that propose this false concept of burden of proof forget that you can't use secondary sources - you must use original sources. The vast majority of these scientific journals and trials cost quite a pretty penny to get your hands on the original sources. I doubt you're about to pay that kind of money.

And finally, as if I should really have to say this, my comment to TheKingOfTheNerds was mostly in humor (even though I still stand behind my comments). It wasn't meant as a formal debate.

However, I don't need my ego stroked like you apparently do (I mean, just look at how many argumentative posts you have on the nexus). So, either find somewhere else to troll, or learn how to have some fun because I really don't care if you agree with my comments or not.

For my part, the discussion is over. But feel free to keep arguing by yourself until Heirflick decides to start deleting your posts...

Yeah, I usually ignore comments like that, but it was late and sometimes you can only ignore the negative stuff for so long... :)

But you are both right. I do drink WAY too much coffee. Of course Heirflick had to go and create something like this, which now makes me addicted to coffee in game also. THANKS HEIRFLICK! LOL!

I can see it now..."Hello, my name is Yatz. I'm addicted to coffee. In the real world and in my pretend world." At this point, all the meeting attendees run away as fast as they can...

Awesome, this would be great for the new Survival mode where caffeine like Nuka Cola erases the effects of tiredness.

Totally agree +++, but its a shame you need the console to make the coffee and I'd guess the console will be disabled in the full survival mode too. Pity.
