mod is almost a year old. I just found it looking for a brighter flare. Used to be military and it bugged me how flat the in-game flares fell compared to real life. I do idsagree with the author's choice to make the flares not go as high - if I shoot anywhere other than straight up the flare will hit the ground before it burns out. Other than that it is a spectacular effect
Soooo I used FO4Edit to make 2 changes to BetterFlareLight.esp . I'll just leave them here for anyone else who might want to do so. 1. under "light" increased the radius from 4000 to 5000 (default is 768 ) 2. under "projectile" increased the speed from 1000 to 6000 (default is 6200).
This has become a must have mod for me, it just looks so cool at night, especially with Darker Nights mod. I agree with other people about have options for how long it lasts and how long it takes to fall.
Yes, I totally agree. If there is a chance to make the flares burn duration longer, that would be very appreciated. I tried to look at it in the fo4edit, but I could not make it longer by tweaking different parameters (my modding knowledge is low).
The fact that this mod has so many downloads with so few endorsements and comments is a grave injustice.
An injustice, I say!
This sort of mod is the kind of thing that you wouldn't expect to have a huge impact on the game, but it does. Just like your better nuke lighting mod, I consider this one a must-have in the lighting department.

People really ought to see this.

Looks like a real flare more or less now
