Sure is, sorry about the inconvenience by the way. I've been excelling in all my training sessions and I'm ready to go so I will do my thing and come back home in August. Returning to this site however is a mixed bag; Bethesda released the creation kit today and now I'm wondering what I should do next. I already know this site is going to absolutely get flooded with too many good mods now and like 40% of them will be perverted crap -_-
After looking around with the Creation Kit, and checking out how the vertibird fast travel grenade works, I think I've figured out how to greatly improve your mod. Assuming I'm understanding it correctly, the fast travel grenade starts a quest which summons the vertibird and pilot with the pilot assigned to an attachment point on the vertibird. It then follows a script telling it to fly to the smoke grenade, land, etc. So in theory, you could simply alter the quest to summon a regular vertibird with pilot instead of the fast travel one, also summon a co-pilot and gunner, and attach them to the vertibird as well at the appropriate attachment points. Then remove the scripts after the one making it fly to the smoke, and just replace it with the orbit script. If I'm understanding it correctly, this should summon the vertibird with crew in the distance, make it fly to the smoke, and then orbit engaging targets of opportunity.
This would also remove the need for making your own vertibird NPC, and allow the use of the generic one, which would also allow other mods which increase the armor and durability of vertibirds to also work with your mod.
I'm running another mod that gives vertibirds armor, more durability, and explosive miniguns. It doesn't seem to be effecting the vertibirds summoned by this mod though, it's definitely not giving them explosive miniguns anyway.
Can we get an optional version with a little armor, more durability, 20mm cannons, and explosive miniguns then? I'd think we'd be requesting a gunship variant of the vertibird, so it would make sense logically that it would be better equipped for a close air support role.
Ha Ha Ha ha , it killed all the Raiders, but then it attacked Me. Of course I did take down the Brotherhood. Do Vertibirds have Factions? If so, maybe change it's to Minutemen, not BOS .
I set these Vertibirds as PlayerAlliedFaction so they shouldn't be attacking you. Unless friendly fire or a mod conflict affecting vertibirds is happening.
Well then I don't know what to tell you, it works for everyone else. And I can't tell you the ID because it depends on where the ESP is in your load order.
