I already switched back to normal mode already. This was really annoying. You are at the Jamaica Plain and suddenly "Sancuary is under attack, Help with the defence". Then if you ever get there after a felt year, getting through tons of enemy encounters and sneaking around, you failed already. After this you need to go back to where you was questing- so again felt year to get back to the place where you was. -> SUDDENLY, Abanaty farm is under attack...
Also especially if you want to build up your settlement but need to travel around the world to get materials, especially on this lowered weight capacity it takes centuries of years to get everything together that way.
Man after so many hours playing different survival characters I just couldn't take it anymore. This works great, I don't have to sit on that terrible boat every time I want to go to far harbor. I tested it a ton before playing and couldn't find any problems that weren't already in the vanilla game. I uploaded an adjustment to the respawn rate (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/27622?). These along with mods that enable transition saves and manual saves my game is non survival with hunger and stuff still intact. Thanks for this version, this feels like the safest way to do it.
Doesn't work at all for me in 1.5. I had this enabled before I started a new game. Made my new guy and it never worked. So, I am forced to use console in survival mode and coc to locations.
At present no one else has experienced the same problem (unless they just haven't notified me) and it's a change to a single variable. This isn't one of those complicated mods where it might work differently for different systems. I suspect that something went wrong with the mod loading, or you may have had a glitch in your game. Unfortunately these are going to be issues that I can't fix.
I'm sorry it hasn't worked for you. On the description page I have links to some other people's fast travel in survival mods. Perhaps you could try one of them for your existing character as they can be used on a pre-existing game and are likely to be much more convenient than teleporting with the console. If my mod isn't working, you can also safely remove the ESP from your plugins list mid-game without any issues.
Yes, this will still work with the full release version of 1.5, my housemate's been playing with the latest release and is still able to fast travel without any problem.
Thank you, but any .swf file who change the Map made the same job as well. No need for a .esp who overwrite values in Fallout.esm People can use any map.swf they want. For disabling they must delete the file only, and they are fine without any restrictions like with your .esp.
I found this out only, because i am using the MOD Region map in Pip-Boy as in the Survival Guide by Carda.
You're welcome to use any technique you like to get around the fast travel. Using an alternate .swf could certainly be one option although it's not one that I've tested personally.
However I suspect that this version is more likely to remain functioning in the future, as your savegame will not have the information in it that fast travel should be prevented even if the game's precise implementation of this mechanic is changed. Thankyou for letting me know about your alternate solution however and it will be a good option for people to be aware of.
This was the Reason i post it to you. Thank you for your friendly answer.
Maybe you can just copy the map.swf out of the Textures.bsa and put it as a optional file up here? I think this would be good for People, so they can find the other Solutions right on the same Place. (your MOD is until now the only One who changing back fast Travel @ Survival Mode.)

I'm going to download it and run some tests myself, if I can get the right process confirmed through testing I'll post the instructions up here.
