When installing, you have an option clothing or rings...

I don't udnerstand what this does. If I choose clothing, clothing gets affected? Not rings though right?

If you choose clothing, you will get legendary slots on all JBHWTW items. Boots will also get ballistic weave, lining, and add-on slots.

If you choose rings, you will get legendary slots on all JBHWTW items. "Hmm Stat" rings will also get ballistic weave, lining, and add-on slots.

The difference comes down to where you want your ballistic weave, lining, and add-on slots.

You may also want to disable clothing destruction in the base JBHWTW mod so that you don't lose your legendary effects when clothing breaks!

Not sure what's going on but after unlocking Ballistic Weave the game now crashes when selecting a Hmm What to Wear piece at the Armorer Workbench.
ArmorSmith and Keywords up to date, don't have many outfits installed(Toxic Raider, GiTS, HWTW, Detective). Tried messing with load order and the issue persists. Any ideas?

      Sorry to hear that!

Were you able to select HWTW pieces before unlocking ballistic weave? This is something that can happen when NMM doesn't install equipment correctly, or if GO meshes aren't being properly pointed to, which may happen if mistmatching versions are active.

Also, if I'm reading your download history correctly, it looks like you don't have the most up to date version of this mod or HWTW. If you're using NMM to notify you of newer versions of mods, it's sadly been broken for some time in that regard. You can try updating HWTW and this mod to see if that fixes the problem.

You'll want either 0.46 of both mods (I personally use this, and everything's working great for me) or 0.46.2 or greater of both mods. Don't mix em! There's recently been a pretty big shuffle in esp structure in the original HWTW mod, so matching versions are very important. BUT, BE CAREFUL WHEN MOVING BETWEEN 0.46 AND 0.46.1 OR ABOVE! You'll lose all of your items because of the file structure changes that happened in 0.46.1 of HWTW.

Let me know if the problem still occurs, and be sure to take note of your versions of HWTW and this mod when reporting back so we know what we're dealing with, if there's still a problem at that point.

Welp, updating was it. NMM said these things were up to date so I never figured it was an issue there.
Considering I just updated the Walther P99 mod and it still says 1.4/1.5 I guess there are still some kinks to work out.

Thanks for the help despite it being such a simple "issue".

Haha, yes, that NMM issue has caused me a few issues as well.

No problem! Glad we were able to get everything solved.

Wanted to hop in here and give you a heads up about the Break Undies optional esp. The Break Undies optional esp adds a 10% chance for boots/gloves to get destroyed. As such I just wanted to recommend that you may want to consider moving the modifications to the "Hmm Stat" pieces instead of the boots. Effectively in game people aren't aware that the boots even use slot 33 (body slot). It's all behind the scenes so to speak. The options you add may be safer for anyone that uses your patch if they are on the Hmm Stats instead.

Alternatively, if you still want to use the boots/gloves and don't want the optional Break Undies esp to effect them you can make an esp that requires the main ESM. In your esp you'd want to remove the "Hmm_Slot" keyword from those pieces. Removing the "Hmm_Slot" keyword from any clothing piece will cause it to be ignored by the Break Undies system.

That's a big benefit of me switching the mod over to an ESM format. It allows you to make esp files so you can more easily modify the contents of the Hmm What To Wear mod. Any changes you make in your esp file will overwrite the ESM file. (In case you didn't know. Don't know if you knew that.) So just load up the Creation Kit, load up the Hmm What To Wear.ESM file and make any changes you want. Then save your esp file and that's all there is to it.

Lot of big changes in this update but the changes make mods like yours easier to make. Probably not at first as you adjust to it but future updates will be easier for you to work with. If you have any questions just let me know.

Hey thanks for the heads up! Love your mods and your tutorials!

I'll have to learn to use the CK someday. I took one look at all of the windows that popped up when I first opened it, and immediately uninstalled lol.

I don't know how much truth there is behind this, but I"ve read in a few places that equipment with defensive properties will only protect the limb that their slot belongs to. This is another one of the reasons I initially thought to put the weave (and the others, to be neat) on the boots. Would you happen to know whether or not that's true?

I think I'll make a few versions and pack them all into a FOMOD when I get some time. Putting everything on the stat rings would definitely be the easiest way, if the defense/body part relation thing turns out to be false.

That's not true. The defensive properties simply just apply to the player. The slot makes no difference.

And since you're using FO4Edit you can just do 'copy as override' by loading the Hmm What To Wear.ESM and the overrides you copy into your own esp will overwrite the ESM. So you'd treat the Hmm What To Wear.ESM the same way as you treat the Fallout4.ESM as they both will work the same way in terms of how load orders work.

Which part in particular doesn't work?

I haven't had any issues yet.

      EDIT:
I just checked again in game, and everything works on my end. Can you give me some details?

I tried to mod one of the JB clothes using armor workbench, but there's only legend option available. No addon or lining mod.
FYI I'm just starting new game using survival mode with all DLC. Also already check load order. Any suggestion why there's on other option on the workbench?

EDIT: A question, do all the JB "wear" have all the option (addon, linging etc) or just some of it?

Ahh yes, that's how it's supposed to be. I went into it a bit on the description page.

Only the boots offer lining, weave, add-on, and legendary. Everything else is legendary only. I did this because of the way the armor system works in this game. The original mod author has the boots in the "body" slot, which is usually the slot that gains these options.

Check any of the boots to verify the additional modifications.
