I'm Sorry to hear that you are having problems. The UI xml was generated using the newest DEF_UI (1.1.0) http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10654/?
Could i suggest that you maybe install/reinstall DEV_UI. When installing, select DEF_HUD under interface and 16:9 under Screen Ratio. Click next then under HUD Config select Vanilla HUD.
Follow the rest of the installation to finish. make sure to replace all files when asked.
When DEF_UI has been installed/reinstalled , then reinstall this mod(Another UI Mod)
Try and create your own UI using DEV_UI and see if there is still a CTD.
Here are the steps taken from DEV_UI page.
Customizing HUD ------------------------ The default installation above will install a vanilla HUD configuration. You can also download presets that other users have customized and published on the Nexus. If you would like to customize your HUD: 1) Open your game Data folder and navigate to Data\interface 2) Drag/drop HUDMenuSet.swf onto the flashplayer_20_sa.exe file located in Data\interface (DO NOT try to open in your internet browser) 3) Customize your HUD settings. Instructions are located within the utility. 4) Once you are done customizing, press CTRL+S and save the file as Data\interface\DEF_CONF\DEF_HUD.xml 5) Exit the program and play the game.
Could i suggest that you mess around/create your own UI using instructions above and save as indicated. Then try and see if the changes reflect in your game. If there is still a CTD it would seem that you might have a mod installed that is conflicting with DEV_UI.
If you installed my mod you can use the above steps to edit it.
Just to note: I used the above steps to create my UI and I have the newest/up to date non beta build of Fallout 4 installed and with the automaton dlc.
I would apprisiate it if anyone else can confirm if it is working on there systems (non dlc or dlc installed and or fully updated) Thanks
Hi sorry for replying so late, I just got around to playing Fallout again and noticed that once i came close to nuka world my game crashed.
After some trail and error i found out what was wrong.
On the DEV_UI page there is a update (http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/ajax/downloadfile?id=70257) for the HUDmenu files that is used when making the HUD layout.
Here is what i did:
1. I installed the Update and ran the "HUDMenuSet.exe" found in the "Fallout 4\Data\Interface" folder.
2. It opened my Another UI mod xml file and i just saved it again in the "Fallout 4\Data\Interface\DEF_CONF" folder overwriting the one already there.
That seemed to have fixed the problem and i am now able to enter nuka world.
The above steps is what i usually follow when a new Fallout update releases and DEV_UI gets an update.
I will update the mod to version 0.5, that should solve the nuka world crash that you are experiencing.
Please let me know if you have any other problems and i will check them out as soon as possible.

nope. Installed Dev_UI, opened the game to test, game opened, played fine. Then installed your mod... CTD.

After Re-installing the Latest DEF-UI + the Nuka world patch and setting it to Vanilla hud everything works fine.
I then proceeded to install your HUD and each time, my game crashed as well. I suggest more testing on your side.
Thank you and will be looking for an update.
