I have not repacked the file but to install it for the newer version of DEF_UI you put the DEF_HUD.xml into the "Data\Interface\DEF_CONF" Instead of "\Data\Interface\DEF_CONFIG"

He must of changed the file structure on a later version of the mod

No mods work on it. Except some texture mods. But, I'm not on the survival beta. Still doesn't work for me.

I'm on the latest update (non steam beta update, so no survival mode changes) and on the latest version of DEF_UI. Check that it installed in the Data/Interface/DEF_CONF as long as the DEF_HUD.xml is in there it should work. I would suggest uninstalling my mod and DEF_UI and reinstalling them starting with DEF_UI then my config file.

I have also deleted the HUD_MenuSet.swf (the file to configure the UI files to make your own presets) to see if that was the issue and it wasn't still worked fine.

I don't know if it's on purpose or not, but I just thought I would let you know that the compass on the top is a bit off-center
