Well. i have a differend bug with codsworth. His thruster... u replaced it with assaulttron legs but i still hear it no matted what i do... i cand find a sollution or even mention of this bug online so i decide to ask you. Do you know how to fix it and would you help with that?
Will this fix an issue with Codsworth no longer using Melee attacks I have a bug where he just stands there and takes damage. Ranged weapons work fine though. I started having the problem after the last fo4 update ranged weapons work fine though.
Is there a mod to fix Codsworth AI in Automatron? At some point, he always, no matter how many game plays I do, stops attacking. Just stands there and takes enemy a ttacks, only attack he can do is head lazer if he has one.
the Automatron DLC does that. the first time you bring Codsworth to the robot workbench it changes his vanilla body to a moddable Automatron version. and that does not support wearing a hat because the only reason you could give him a hat is Whitechapel Charlie, the Mr. Handy bartender NPC in The Third Rail who has a hat intentionally and has the same vanilla body as vanilla Codsworth.
you can craft hats for robots with various mods. but only through the robot workbench so the hats will count as Automatron body parts not apparel. check out TheDBCrew's mods.
right now any bot in the robot workbench are glitched, they all have a "special" on top that is empty and the radar antenna is in head, head are in bodies etc it's all skewd down one step, and legs are empty... this is the only automatron related mod ever had installed (as far as I can remember..) got installed, any ideas?
This might have been mentioned but the bowler hat is DEFINITELY not the issue. I gave Codsworth the hat well before Automatron dropped and he was moddable day one. Not saying the bug doesn't exist but the bowler hat isn't the problem. I still think Codsworth and Curie weren't supposed to be moddable. This is shown as she reverts to an unmodded state in her personal quest towards the end. Codsworth also suffers the T-Pose effect when he hands you purified water if he's missing his thruster arms. Bethesda was either too lazy to fix it or after finding people liked it left the glitch in. This could be why Codsworth isn't moddable in some games but not others. The exclusion isn't triggering correctly.
it's clear in the DLC's esm that they made the two robot companions moddable intentionally. also they are moddable for most of the players without my fix. even if Codsworth is not moddable, and you don't use my fix, he becomes moddable as soon as you hire him as a follower. (I realized that way after I released this mod.) and yes, Bethesda is THAT lazy. and yes, Curie reverts to her original form because a) they didn't care for polishing her loyalty quest to fit with other robot forms and b) most players already finished her quest when they start playing with the DLC.

yes. that's exactly the plan. there's a hold-up though because I couldn't make Deezer from Covenant fully moddable yet, and I want to include him in the package as well. probably I can make it happen this week.
