Even when given full Mr Handy mods - they still forfeit all ability to play the plant tending animations so I won't be using it. But still endorsed - its a nice mod

edit: whoops... didn't mean to reply to the sticky

I don't have the option to mod supervisor white, I know I have done it before using this mod. Is there a console command that I can use to help as a work-around?

Having a weird issue when I try and mod one of the robots into an assaultron there is a large mr handy right arm that stays on the new body - any idea how I can get rid of it ?

    Thanks

switch back to Mr. Handy torso & thruster, remove the arm, and then put back the assaultron torso & legs.

Might not be a bug, but if I build some robot with the mr handy body, then give it some legs/threads(not his thruster), then I can add the non automatron mr handy arms.

The arms just clip thru the other parts, and don't do nothing, but I think they add to DEF and other stats...

      hey there,

non-automatron (non-DLC aka vanilla) parts are only there for change them to automatron parts and then ignore them completely. I don't take responsibility what they do if you re-equip them, but it's your game, you can experience with it if you want.

Thank you for this mod, but when I mod Graygarden, the only option that shows up for me are the legs. Does anyone know how to fix this? It's similar for Codsworth, where the mod options will show up except for torso and head.

sounds like you don't have Science level 1 perk.

I'm sorry, I should've mentioned that I do have Science! Rank 4 perk, along with the Rank 3 Robotics Expert. If I create my own automatron, I can fully edit it, but as soon as I give it Mr. Handy parts, the options to change it to a different body disappear (permanently Mr.Handy).

      hey,
updated the Compatibility section of the Description page. check if that might cause the problem!
also try removing mods that affect robot parts in any way, see if the problem persist!

Thank you thank you thank you so much! It was definitely "Handy Hats and Transparent Armors" that was causing this problem!

Absolutely wonderful mod! Love it, love them all, endorsed!

Wanted to ask a question. Do you think you could make Nick moddable? I understand this might not be possible as there are no synth parts, but I dont know, maybe after completing his personal quest you could take off his trench coat and gain access to synth gen 1 and gen 2 parts? With a unique Nick head that would only be available to him?

Dont know, no idea whether thats possible, but it would sure be amazing! What do you think?

unfortunately synths don't have parts like robots. they only have a body like humans do.
robots are designed in a specific way so later they can be moddable when the DLC comes out. so they have separate parts for limbs and have armor and weapons attached to those. this allows you to make changes in the robot workbench.
so I don't see synth parts coming in any way, but I'm thinking of making a mod that allows you to change Curie back and forth. if I'm able to do that, I can surely make the same with Valentine as well.

Ah, thank you for shedding some light on this. I see, so synths are more like a separate race with special "clothing/apparel" items that they "equip" and thus they appear less skeletal like?

Anyway, looking forward to more of your stuff

awsome. the perfect way to jumpstart your robot army, and get the drop on (drops into silver-shroud voice) the dastardly mechanist.

one thing. im wondering... could you make a mod that allows you to customize the vanilla, rust-devil, and mechanist robots that you find in the world after you hack them with robotics expert? and maybe find a way to make them non-hotsile to your settlers after you hack them?

and maybe, JUST MAYBE, would it be possible to make a mod that lets you have a robot and a human (or ghoul, or super-mutant, or synth) follower?

    please?

seriously, if you can pull all of that off, your probably batman or something, and serious respect will be due.

it's possible to add some new scripted features for the robot hacking perk so every time you hack a robot it makes that robot join a settlement and makes him moddable. but since you can create any number of automatrons on any of you settlements I really don't see the point. a lot of work for a very small plus feature in the game. I'm not saying this in an offensive way but I will probably make more useful mods with that time and effort.

The only thing is that once you remodel the robots they dont interact with the plants anymore. Yes they still count as tending the crops but there's no animation.

well, thats ok since a mr handy legs/torso is arguably one of the best ways to go. good speed, the base weapons for the handys (saw, claw and flamer) are reasonably powerful in automatron, the left and right eyes can be replaced with fully effective arms with no penalty, there are more armor slots to boost energy/bleed damage, strength, and/or carry weight depending on the pieces you use. the only downside is the slight increase to stagger vulnerability, and the lack of assaultron laser.
