    Sticky
I found an issue in versions r10 and earlier with ConvertMaterial: cSpecularColor was being misnamed as sSpecularEnabled, to fix any existing materials, just fix the name of that property, if it exists in your materials.

    r11 corrects the issue.

Sorry for dumb question, but where to copy / paste the "bin"-folder? O_o

      EDIT: got it, sorry.

What does this MOD do exactly? Is this like a BL2 saved editor or is this something else?

Your name is familiar. Did you make a save editor for Borderlands 1 or 2?

I remember Gibbed from back in Just Cause 2. My first modding experience. Those tools were solid gold for that game.

I have No idea how this works. I run the program, and It comes up with the command prompt, which closes immediately. I extracted it into it's own file, and is nowhere near what I'm trying to convert. What do I do?

Um... you take a BGSM, Click and drag it onto the file, Command prompt opens up, Closes, Boom there's a Json now

yeah, command-line is too easy for this young generation, they normally doubleclick stuff and choose files etc. ^^

Hello, can someone help? I try to put a new armor ingame, and for that I need to convert 2 textures - MacCready's outfit one and Kellogg's. So, I use Gibbed.Fallout4.ConvertMaterial, and it convert Kellogg's outfit well, but with .bgsm for MacCready it crushes each time. What do I do?

Can you convert the json back into a bgsm?

No, I haven't implemented that. However, it is not necessary. The game will read the JSON format. Just rename .json to .bgsm (or .bgem).

I am unsure of what I am doing wrong. Whenever I try to open the program it opens into a black box then closes immediately. I have read through the comments and forums as well as Google searched and have come up with nothing. All the comments just say "Edit: Got it working." But none of them say how. How do I go about running these tools?

Make sure you have a working .NET Framework 4.0 installed.

They're command-line applications. You can either choose to drag&drop files onto them for easy use, or you will need to invoke them via a command-line.
