This is actually very lore friendly- Deacon references playing with gender as an aspect of his disguises. Of course everything he says is often a lie and/or joke but the in world technology would make it easy, and it makes a great deal of sense with his character so.... doesn't seem like much of a stretch to me. One of the benefits of an apocalypse is all the trappings of society get blown to smithereens so people can do or be whatever they want, which is part of what makes the Fallout series so engaging. Also: playing as a dude who beats the crap out of supermutants with a sledghammer then steps out of his power armour in a sequined evening dress is like one of the most satisfying ways I've found to play the game, if not ANY game lol.
Your icon is Donalad Trump so honestly I'm not surprised by this kind of comment.
I think it's neat to see trans companion mods! I'm roleplaying my current Fallout character as a trans guy since it feels more relatable for me. Also; I think this mod fits very well with what Deacon says in-game.
maybe because instead of a wig wearing cosplayer who frequently lies and makes a lot of idle noise, it would be better if it was a beautiful female but too bad there arent any voice mods or mods to mute companions cause the deep voice coming out of them really makes it weird
Mods can NEVER go too far... well, unless they violate 2 basic rules. Don't frack with anyone, and don't frack with their shit. Everything else is... mind your own business. Everyone has a right to be who they wish, as they wish, and where they wish. This is a basic truism. And in games, a place where people go to escape the horrors of examination, questioning, and the rites of approval... well, herein should be a place where the unique and imagination are celebrated. Safe from the danger of the streets. Right now I live in Tennessee, one of the most single-mindedly hate filled places in the US. People here seem to only be happy when their making another person hurt... its vile. Gross. Disgusting. Hence my little piece here. Mods are presented in a listing which allows each viewer to pick and choose those little pieces of hard work and install and use, if they please. But, there is no limit to what is available... its all there. You just look, read, and choose. And skip those mods you dislike. I don't think your post was belligerent, but it was questioning the relevance of the mod; which in light of our world's reality as far as gender preference and transformation makes me wonder why you asked.
I believe the Oblivion mods were some of the most creative mods ever. It seems that ever since Fallout 3, mods haven't been as imaginative, though things got better with Skyrim... but again, I'm seeing a bunch of newer people who never even thought of such modding would exist. I think some of them need to get their heads checked, or they should just stick to the games on consoles if they're hating on mods that cater to a specific niche audience that have absolutely no effect on their daily livelihood whatsoever. Seriously, these mods are free and no one is forced to download them all. No one has to download something they don't like, and they don't have to be so rude about their beliefs in other peoples faces as if they're better for not liking stuff like this. Support the mods you like, ignore the ones you don't. Don't be hating on mods that goes against whatever code of ethics you may or may not have, and certainly don't be hating the modders that spent their free time making these mods. Especially don't be a jerk about it when you don't have any mods made yourself. (This is referring to anyone that acts like a total d-bag, as I've seen in certain mods.) This concept isn't rocket science, but it certainly seems treated like it is. :3
I am downloading this because of sheer awesomeness. Though, I doubt I'll have the constitution to handle Deacon's ManVoice echoing outta that, I couldn't resist a giggle.

Either that's what rock bottom looks like, or mods went too far ages ago.
