A new version of this mod, as a part of the updated and expanded Gruffydd's Signs and Posters, will be released in the next month (assuming all goes well in testing) over at AFKMods. A number of signs that were missed the first time around will be included. It's going to be a whole new version, which means that existing objects won't transfer from one to the other. If you're happy with what you've got now, feel free to stick with this one, it's not going anywhere. If you want the expanded selection, plus all of the new custom signs and posters that will be in the release (well over 100 new ones), and are willing to re-place stuff from the old versions, keep an eye out over at AFKMods for the release announcement.
How long till modders start making categories and stuff and we don't need the settlement keywords patch? I thought WW made it so you could have unlimited categories, but so far nobody seems to be updating their mods. My signs menu is getting really clogged up.
I would just looooove to see WRVR if you could, please! I have Casey from the WRVR mod in my settlement, and she now has her own broadcasting suite and so it would be wonderful if we could make that official and all. Travis is currently in the other half of the building and she is low key envious.
These are vanilla objects, with the only modification being the addition of the spots that allow you to stick them to walls or surfaces (for those that didn't have that already), and being added to the build menus. Since they are basically just vanilla meshes, you may want to ask about this on whatever mod you're using to scale the objects, as it's likely a function of whatever code they set up there.
I was digging through the files for more signs to add, and found one for a place called "Mackie's Packie". The thing is, I don't remember seeing it in the game, and can't find anything on it on Google.
Does anyone know where in the game world it is found?
Well... i was looking forward to this new mod adding more signs to my collection.
Sadly, it's not working. Signs are invisible in the build menu and i seem to have only a few of them... No diamond city signs to be seen.. (no pun intended!)
I'll try to copy the files manually to see if it fixes the problem, but for now, this mod is going nowhere.
EDIT: after manually copying the Materials/Meshes/Textures files in the data folder, i can now see the signs in the build menu. So...Once again, it's an NMM issue.
Ok, i got them all... except the Laundromat ..that one isn't working.
I don't know why (and nobody had told me if they've figured it out), but there are two signs that remain somewhat glitchy when placing them. One is the second of the Liquor signs, and the other is that Laundromat sign. For those affected, the sign is invisible while placing it. You see the outline, but not the texture. Not even the purple "the texture is missing" texture. If that's what's happening to you with the Laundromat sign, go ahead and place it where you want it to go. You should hear the appropriate sound effect, and have the components removed from your inventory. Once you exit the game (either to the title screen or to the desktop), when you return the sign will be there. You can move it around at that point as normal if it's not placed exactly where you want it, and it will be visible from then on. It's only when you first place it that it's a problem.
A new Signs of the Times mod has been added, Signs of the Times - DLC. It contains all of the facilities signs from the Mechanist DLC. You can find it at http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/11359/?
Added 15 more vanilla signs, mostly (all but one) from Diamond City. There are more out there. As I find them, I'll add them here. If there's one in particular you want, let me know.
