I'm trying to do a similar shortcut, but from skyrim to fallout new vegas, but thinks aren't working well... Could you explain how you did this? What I'm doing (I thought maybe this is how you did it) is loading the skyrim skeleton + base body, and then the base body for fnv, then I change the skyrim skeleton pose to the nv ones, then I create the animation. This method "works", but there's two issues, I have to resize some parts of the body because the bodies don't fit (skyrim has longer legs?) and the hands are impossible for me to pose correctly. Did you do this pose conversion manually, or is there a better way?
Its been some time since I did this so cannot really comment on how I did it anymore, sorry. Scaling the bone should also impact the armours/clothing/bodies influenced by it, so that'd be my best guess without remembering my intial method. So the way I remember doing it is I added keyframes ranging from 0-11. 0 being the intial import pose for the skeleton i am converting. 11 being the target result of the pose I wish to conform to. So import the skeleton and body if desired from game 'x', open keyframes and highlight every bone and make a keyframe for transition, rotation and scale on frame 0. make your adjustments and make a similar keyframe for transition, rotation and scale on frame(s) 11 (doesnt have to be 0 and 11, can be whatever as long is it is not the same technically). save the animation (keyframes) via the animation drop down iirc. save scene to be safe. open a new scene, import skeleton and test animation, confirming working and there you have it.
You may use transition (move), rotation and scale(recommend using 'local' orientation) to edit any bones on the non 0 keyframes as desired to make them fit your target shape.
You want to be sure to do the edits within the animation and not outside of the keyframe system. any edits done without keyframes will be non reversible and very useless for this method.
Good luck and feel free to send me a private message if you wish to know more or need further assistance.
*edit* yes i did it manually, though I think I too didnt include the finger areas.
Sorry for the late reply, I did saw your post and followed your instructions, it still doesn't look as good as yours but it did end up better. When I am happy with the results I would like to share the pose conversion I hope it's okay that I copied your method
this shortcut will only work for skyrim to fallout 4 sorry, i might make one for fallout3/nv to 4 next time i convert something.. no idea when that will be though.
If you search, there is a similar script to change the pose from Oblivion to Skyrim, and also one to convert Fallout 3 to Skyrim. So you would have to take the fallout 3 outfit and pose it to Skyrim first, and then apply this pose to it afterwards. There is a good chance of mistakes occurring, but that is the best I can tell you right now.
I wonder if it would be possible to make an animation like this that would change the default Fallout pose to a more relaxed one? So I could make better armour mannequins and hanging clothes without them taking up a crap ton of space?
But it just wouldn't be an Elianora house mod without a closet full of fashionable corpses!
Ok, I used this and it worked. When I was done porting my outfit with outfit studio It's like my mesh no longer fits the textures. I create the materials file and the mesh can see the textures but they are glitched and do not fit. Is that what skin data and paint weights are? Did I lose them during this conversion? I'm a noob at this any help would be appreciated.
Ive had that issue before, it sounds like the UVs got flipped during the export.. I found that reexporting from 3dsMax and double checking my settings/format resolved the issue (reexport a version prior to the error that is).
Instead of moving something from Skyrim to Fallout 4 is it possible to move something from Fallout 4 (example the Prydwen) to Skyrim? if so could you upload how to do that as well?
no idea how you'd go about moving the prydwen but yeah id imagine it possible somehow.
to clarify the info on this mod page is for converting outfits from skyrim to fallout 4, not really in the same field as the prydwen. sorry i couldnt help.
