Oh my god, okay, so I was just trying and failing to make the exact same mod but FO4Edit was giving me trouble, I'm super glad to have found this, in other words, thank you so much!
hey there great mod, just tried it out. Was just wondering if there was a way of turning the super mutant armors into power armor pieces similar to the combat power armor mod which has been out on nexus for a bit. thanks again for the mod and keep up the great work
I saw you mentioned how you used a bigger cbbe model and how it may be an issue... if you upload bodyslide files of these armor pieces that particular problem should be fixed... it's up to you
I didn't want to do too much with body slide to make the textures all distorted so I just changed the size instead of doing a whole lot with the actual form of it. It was, however, the smallest I could make it without it clipping in some places.
Thanks for this! The first time I saw super mutants gear I knew I wanted it for my character. looks a lot more scavengerish then all the normal human gear.
Before you install this mod! If you want to uninstall this mod, you'll need to manually remove the ESP file from your data folder. Otherwise, your game will crash when trying to load a save upon uninstallation.
go into console and type in"help super 4 armo" then it should be towards the bottom of the "armo" section any of the "super mutant armors" that have 000 in front of their armor ID are vanilla armors,, you'll want the ones with like 02, 04 or like 5b or something for the first few numbers after that just type in "player.additem (item ID here) "
Would it be possible for you to share how you did this? I wouldn't mind making the shoulder rags/waistcloth armours into a single standalone male outfit.
Yeah i just used vanilla meshes, materials, and textures and ported them into body slide(Use Bethesda Archive Extractor to extract the meshes, and materials LEAVE THE TEXTURES ALONE). After you shape the armors to the character build you want(you might have to be decent at using body slide), you have to make an .esp using FO4Edit. This step is kind of involved if you don't know what you're doing and it can be the main source of your problem if your mod doesn't work(I would watch a vid on how to do it). After you make your .esp and make sure all your files are linked to the correct locations (the armor is actually using the correct meshes/textures/materials etc.) you need to put it all together into your data folder and see if it works(put the stuff in the locations you told the game to load from or else it wont load those meshes/materials).Since this is using mainly vanilla stuff it shouldn't be too hard, which is why i was able to do it lol.
Honestly, there's not a lot of super mutant type stuff on here so if we all spread the knowledge and work together maybe we could make some half-decent stuff lol
