#1 just works for me with Infinite AP with another mod see: Better Jetpack Type1 + Flying Jetpack MOD (Flying Jetpack 400 + Flying No AP Drain Optional file) Now i can Fly infinite with Power Armor :D
#3 and #2 does NOT work, it only allows me to hover and/or move forwards about 2 feet of the ground, that is it.
My idea, maybe put the mod at the bottom of your load order. I had the same problem with the mod Simple Intersection. I had it high in my load order and it didn't worked, as I've put it at the bottom, it worked. Just my idea. Good luck!
Tried a new Power Armor w/no mods ... and built it from scratch.
Still the jets only allow less then a 2 foot jump and fly - but this does "Fly" for a short period of time and then lands. The AP meter shows no drop in AP - but I land at about the time the AP Meter would be a 0.
Used #1 - #2 and # 3 Mods with new saves and all are the same results.
Description states there is virtually no vertical thrust on 2 and 3. That means there is no going up. Might be useful if your going from rooftop to rooftop, but otherwise I can't see a use for it.
Okay, not sure exactly what happened with my first attempt with Mod #1 - but it could be that I tried it last and there was 'residue' of #3 and #2 still in the game ... as initially #1 did the same thing as 2 & 3.
But there may have been enough game saves, without them that #1 now works as I thought 2 and 3 should.
I have to agree, I'm not really sure what 'good', 2 and 3 are since the thrust simply is not there, thus you cannot JUMP to higher ground when / if need be.
* Note 2 and 3 cannot out fly a Deathclaw either. Speaking from experience.
too long? heres a bumper sticker version, the long version is helpful, i hope; disable and delete all mods, load a new character, reinstall mods ALL AT ONCE, walk around new character house for a bit, go back into your real character.
DISCLAIMER! this is what i did to fix any issues ive had while modding, it doesnt happen often, and yes its a bit of a pain, but its better than having a glitchy mess of a game. ive had quite a few issues while modding, and all but one of them were either fixed or not causing a noticeable problem after i did this. i cant say this will fix every glitch/problem every time, but it is very helpful.
ive experienced the same issue lately with the legendary crafting. i would craft the misc mod, go to legendary effect, select power armor options and craft another misc mod. it isnt the mod, its how you installed it. i figured out that the game doesnt like to edit huge load orders, so you may want to try...;
1) take a screenshot of all your current mods, snipping tool if you cant screenshot 2) disable and delete ALL mods, including f4 script extender if you have it 3) launch the game with NO MODS and start a new game, save your old game but DO NOT LOAD YOUR OLD GAME!!! it will instantly crash your game as soon as you hit continue 4) choose the character you have on your previous save (the only thing that seems to matter is male or female, dont gotta edit any features) confirm your character creation, walk away from the mirror, HARDSAVE, OVERWRITE SAVE just to be cautious, exit the game and close literally everything on your PC. 5) reinstall all your mods (through the same mod manager if possible, i use nexus only except for one mod on LL, which is still a nexus file) 6) make sure, DOUBLE CHECK, that you have all your mods downloaded and active, load into the "new character" and just walk araound the house for a bit, give the gaame a bit of time to recognize all the mods have a fresh install. you dont need to keep that character for more than 30 seconds of roaming the house, delete it and reload your real character.
Hi guys. I wanted a jetpack mod that would allow me to fly or at least raise small flights. Then I read the description and opinion in several mods, and decided to first test the Long use Jetpack by gmodbigfan. The high and speed was good in my opinion, however the armor was flying only vertically, and after a small time in air the armor drop down. I deactivated the mod on nexus to test other mod. So I try the mod Better Jetpack (Faster and Longer) by Mysteryman88, type 3 more precisely, in this mod the armor sustained a flight, however did not go up more than the height of a jump. I was going to disable the Better jetpack mod and reactivate the other mod, but rather give thought, I'll risk it and install Long use Jetpack mod together, just to see. And the result was satisfactory for me.

Long use Jetpack by gmodbigfan ( http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6620/? )
Using your suggested mods I enjoyed flying farther and longer. However a peak in Fo4edit revealed that Long use Jetpack only changed 2 values of Better Jetpack. Using Fo4edit I was able to get the same results of the two mods in one.
This is PERFECT! All the other jet pack mods were basically cheats, but the first type of your mod here is pretty balanced and fun! Mostly just removes that god awful glitchy throttling you have to do to travel forward. Now I can use it to jump over rivers. My only complaint with the movement of the jetpack is it seems to jet in the air awful hard right at first, and I wish it was more gentle so just quickly leaping on top of things was a bit less awkward.
Also, the stamina drain seems a little slow! I do enjoy the extra time to fly, but if it was about, 20%~25% faster it would be pretty good. To much faster though and I'll end up tumbling out of the sky way to much again.
Anyways, thanks for doing this, it really deserves more endorsements! (even though it already has a lot!)
Thanks I have been waiting for a mod like this all the time! Its just a minor thing, but it would be great if you could adjust the flying animation a little, by changing by the body's angle by -30° to -40°. Right now the character looks up rather than ahead.
Does this launch me in the air like rocket on steroids or is launching speed equal to vanilla? Most other Jetpack mods launch you in the air creating an uncontrolled descent, try to jump on top of a house, you get launched over 5 houses
Lisa - thanks! The JET PACK AP mod you linked to, was what I was looking for.
I did not understand why Bethesda made the Jet Pack - AP as it should be the Battery - Fusion Core Use. The Jet Pack is not getting it's power from "you" ... so the physics of this just had me going, "huh?"

Now i can Fly infinite with Power Armor :D
#3 and #2 does NOT work, it only allows me to hover and/or move forwards about 2 feet of the ground, that is it.
I cannot get even remotely airborne at all. At first I thought it was because I was using:
More Power Armour Mods (More Power Armor Mods) by Talkie Toaster
http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6982/?
But I disabled that and still cannot even remotely get airborne??
I will try # 2 and see if that works?
None of them work, as in cannot get airborne at all??
Yes, I totally deleted 1 and saved and installed the other ones. None of them work at all.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Just my idea. Good luck!
2nd - The Jet Pack sort of works, in that it only allows me to hover and/or move forwards about 2 feet of the ground, that is it.
I cannot boost/jump to even the roof of the Red Rocket home base.
About 2 feet off the ground and that is it.
This is the case for all 3 versions of the mod.

Seem like no one has managed to make a realistic or even decent flight controls for the jetpack.

Type 2 and 3 seemed to get just jump height, but kept me up a long time.
I use type 1 and lowered Jetpack AP Drain http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/219/?
It has 25,50,75,zero AP drain options
I did not understand why Bethesda made the Jet Pack - AP as it should be the Battery - Fusion Core Use. The Jet Pack is not getting it's power from "you" ... so the physics of this just had me going, "huh?"
It makes the first one work like a charm!
