Dear StupidLemonEater and others, fyi, i created an alterantive version adding the correct "Human Unarmed" reference to the players inventory: Favorite Fists In Fallout 4. This should function with everything by default.
attempted to use this, for some life mystery after a while the item disappears and the unarmed equip effect stops working, as if the script was frozen and permanently unavailable.
you dont need a mod like this for fallout 3 as hotkeying a favorited weapon again while already holding it unequips it, making you unarmed. same goes for nv as its just fallout 3 with new assets
The above code equips your fists, without the need to have this mod. Or is there something else you're doing on top of that?
Edit: My mistake! The above code is designed for use with Fo4Hotkeys, whereas you're using the main Cross menu. That's actually really handy for console users. But for PC users like me that also makes extensive use of Fo4Hotkeys, not so necessary. Great idea.
By Atom's Glow, thank you! Been trying to figure this out for months! Settled on Titan Knuckles from War Fist, as that works both in PA and out. A simple hotkey is so much better, and what I was looking for to begin with.
Awesome mod, mate. Just what i wanted. I've been using Bare Hands for years without knowing this exists. Bare Hands is great, but this one is even better. It properly make use of unarmed bonuses and without the wall-destroying sound and FX. You should try to tag it better. Or include more words in the title, like adding bare hands, fist or so.
I don't understand why it's better. Usually people just need to quickly select their fists in order to run faster in power armor. But thanks for mentioning Bare Hands. He was useful to me. but this one doesn't work
Mainly because this mod provides a hotkey for using the real hands, with all its pros and cons at game code and gameplay levels. Bare Hands however adds a new weapon that uses fist animations but it's recognized by the game as a 2H mace, like the sledgehammers.
This mod itself is quite light and should be compatible with almost everything. If it doesn't work for you, or you have something messing your scripts or you didn't install it right. If you really care about immersion, gameplay balance, RPG fidelity, etc... I recommend you to give it another try to make this one work.
For those who do not understand why people need this mod. It is needed because in power armor, running is faster with bare fists. It's annoying to go into inventory every time. But this mod doesn't work for me. Apparently because of the language. Not added to inventory. but found one that works.
Trying to edit the texture of the bare hand but can’t find the texture path. Any help? playing VR btw It doesn’t seem to use the default bare fist texture
