You have made some really amazing textures my friend! I do want to say i'm perplexed by something however. My game has been crashing lately when i do fast travel. I got rid of many mods to figure this out and it seems that when i use the armorsmith station to craft your clothes, and then put them on, it causes my saves to insta crash every time. Once your mod is uninstalled it all works again.
Was there anything that causes clashes with the way your armors are introduced into the game? I thought you should know the glitch for your next update my friend I also endorsed that look great!
You know, i've also had the issue where random crashes from different mods and i've spent countless hours trying to fix those CTDs. Most of the time, uninstalling and reinstalling all my mods fixes the issue for me, which is a pain in the a**
For this specific mod, there should be zero conflicts with any other mod since they are standalone so i'm not really sure about it. I've been running this mod with about 185 other mods and i haven't gotten a crash yet.
Just uninstalled and ran a clean save. Installed and then tried to fast travel in clean save and CTD. This is the oddest problem for such awesome clothes sorry to bug you with it
I for one really do like the textures. They look like something someone who doesnt care much would put on. However I would like to see them a bit rugged and dirty. Will track
I'm gonna be honest to everyone....I think you're being a bit too hard on him. Yes, I'm sure I'm gonna get a bunch of "Well he does need to work on his textures!" and comments like that. However first off the textures aren't terrible. Secondly There is something you could do. Find your favorite MacCready clothing retexture mod and swap it out with the textures in this mod. Boom! You get a standalone merc outfit with the textures you like.
I'll admit the textures are plain, but I don't feel their terrible. You tried and I think they could work if touched up a bit more and made a little more detailed. I like the mod. Again, it gives me a standalone MacCready outfit I can use for my character. I say, good work!
Seconded. It seems people forget that improvement is a thing.
Eddie- Keep on keeping on, take in the criticism and learn but don't listen to anyone telling you to stop doing something you enjoy. Everyone starts somewhere, and you get better by practicing. Hell, there are a lot of people on this site who can give pointers or experiences without being a dick about it. Video tutorials are available as well if that is more your thing.
Thanks, i do like making re-textures some come out good, some not that good, but this was my first time making a standalone mod, and honestly i was more focused on that part more than the textures. I had not been able to successfully make a standalone mod, and probably got a little excited that i finally did and probably posted sooner than i should have lol.
I've gotten tips/help from people and i've appreciated and implemented what they offer, since the first time i ever did any "mod" was 17 days ago, im still learning. So i don't really find it helpful or productive, and see how to a lot of beginners or even experienced, negative comments can be a downer, to just bash someones free uploads rather than offer actual advice for improvements :/
gotta say man everyone is right. your texturing needs a lot of work. like iConfetti said you should take your time and really get it looking good rather than changing the colour and just slapping it on something. up the resolution too. if your posting on here and you wanna get noticed you've got some VERY steep competition.
You like retexturing things, that's evident. But, and I say this the nicest way that I can, your textures suck. A lot.
Take some time off. Pick something you REALLY want to retexture, and work on it. Don't just fill it with red in MS paint, actually put in some effort. At the rate you make these retextures, we can tell you're not actually trying.
agreed, I normally dont like insulting peoples work on this site especially when you can tell they put a lot of time into it, but this is pretty lazily done. This guy cant of looked at this and thought "yeah thats passable in comparison to the base game". People create some beautiful things on this site, some spending days doing so. its insulting to those people to be so half assed about it.
hell with those blue jeans and accessories swap out the coat for a red tank top and you'd have duke nukem over here awesome. i was looking for something better to equip my minute men with that wasnt related to other factions. and this will do. bleh. i hate that colonial s#*! lol
